The Christian Creative Magazine is a faith-based arts submissions magazine. This way it will allow people to use the talents God has given them, and also allow people to experience God in creative ways.
This idea originated from the idea of a poetry book and shifted into a magazine. The idea came to me after reading poetry and viewing art on my social media. I had known this for a while, but it came so clear to me that art had turned into something I didn't know. It was used to idolize relationships, to speak of deep hurts with little to no hope, to vocalize anger and distrust, and most of all, it was NOT used to glorify God. I believe art is so much more than that darkness that we often see portrayed. I believe art can bring life, joy, understanding, connection, and light. I think that this difference is made when we make it for our Creator. When we create out of a space of life, since Jesus Christ has given us a new life, we can see people be encouraged and even challenged in their walk with God. We can see people reach a further understanding of God's goodness. We can even see people come to understand who Jesus Christ truly is, not just what people have said wrongly.
There is also beauty in creating, like our Father first created. We are made in God's image, and creativity is something we all possess. It might just be in different ways. Oftentimes, we forget about creativity and fall into simply consuming the creativity of others. We should all be expressing ourselves on some creative level to grow closer in who we are in Christ.
This is why I have made this magazine. As a platform for those very beliefs. To open opportunities to others. To encourage, challenge, and inspire creatives in their walk with God and allow them to give their God-given gifts back to God.
This, however, is still on its journey to being created, but I do hope you follow along and support this God-given dream I have!!

While doing the Christian Creative Magazine, I've learned so many things. To list a few:
Marketing and Sales
Layout Design/ Design in general (logo/posts)
Organization
Public Relations and Customer Service
Social Media
Finances and Profit/Expenses
Editing
Branding/ Creating a Voice
Photography
And probably more than that. Although I am still learning and growing, I do find that I've enjoyed all I've done in this project of mine; I just can't wait for the day I have a team to do it with!
These are my mood boards for when I was coming up with the idea fleshed out. As you can see, the logo looked very different, but the heart of it stayed the same. This is also where I found the scripture that encapsulates my business and our slogan!
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
These are the images I posted to let people know what we look for when it comes to submissions! Something helpful and easy to come back to!
I felt called to go ahead and start making the Christian Creative Magazine, so the second semester of my Junior year of College, I made the first issue with submissions from friends in my community!
For the second issue in Fall 2022, I got to grow a lot as a business owner, but also the magazine itself grew and improved. This issue I added a devotional section and a mission section to pray and support missionaries.
