ALL SCHOOL WEEKLY MUSIC CHALLENGE #1 - JUST DANCE CHALLENGE

Below are two dance videos, Shake It Up and It's A Small World from Family Entertainment Just Dance. These videos have all the movements and many of you have already done JUST DANCE in Extended Care.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

• Students that would like to particpate select can select one of the videos and, with permission from their parents, submit to me a 30 second video (no longer than 30 seconds) of him/her dancing to one of the videos.

• The score is 10 points for the student's class.

• The more students in each class that participate, the more points for that class.

• Siblings dancing together get 10 points for each of their classes.

• The due date for the video is this Thursday, March 26th.

• I will post the winning class on Monday, March 30th when I post the new challenge.

ALL SCHOOL WEEKLY MUSIC CHALLENGE #2 - DISNEY CHALLENGE

Who is your favorite Disney Character? What is your favorite Disney song? This week's challenge helps your class get more points as you share how much of a Disney fan you are.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Students have two options to choose from.

• Option #1: Students that would like to participate, with permission from their parents, must take a photo wearing a Disney shirt, hat, or anything Disney. Along with their outfit, the student must also hold a sign with the title of their favorite Disney song. The score for this is 10 points.

• Option #2: Students can send in a video , with permission from their parents, wearing a Disney shirt, hat, or anything Disney and must sing a small section of their favorite Disney song. The video should be 30 seconds (no longer than 30 seconds). The score for this is 20 points.

• Important: Classroom teachers that participate can earn points for their class.

• The more students in each class that participate, the more points for that class.

• The due date for the picture/ video is this Friday, April 3rd.

ALL SCHOOL WEEKLY MUSIC CHALLENGE #3 (Week of April 20 - April 24)

AIR INSTRUMENT/ REAL INSTRUMENT CHALLENGE: This weeks challenge is a short video playing either an "air" instrument, real instrument, or both. Instructions are as follows:

• "Air" instrument: submit a video no longer than 30 seconds of you playing an air guitar, air flute, air drums, etc. Air instrument submissions receive 20 points

• Real instrument: submit a video no longer than 30 seconds of you playing a real instrument such as piano, flute, trumpet, etc. Real instrument submissions receive 30 points.

• You can submit more than one video, for example: an "air" instrument, a "real" instrument, etc. For every submission your will gain points for your class.

IMPORTANT: Enthusiastic performances can also gain additional points.

VIDEOS CAN BE SUBMITTED UP TO THE END OF THE EVENING ON FRIDAY, APRIL 24TH.
