I am a mathematician and professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC).
For nearly 15 years I worked at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) as Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics for Aerospace Engineering, where I am now on leave. After this time away, life (and mathematics!) has brought me back to the land where I was born and where my academic journey began.
I obtained my PhD in Mathematics from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela in 2012, where I was awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Award.
My research lies at the intersection of mathematics and engineering, with a particular focus on the analysis of numerical methods for solving partial differential equations, especially those arising in fluid mechanics, combustion modeling, and multiphase flows.
I am currently the President of the Commission for Women and Mathematics of the Real Sociedad Matemática Española (RSME) MyM-RSME
Passionate about both research and teaching, I am also deeply committed to promoting gender equality in STEM.
