I’m a Geoscientist with a knack for digging into both geological and human history. With degrees in Geosciences and History, I combine art and storytelling with the science of climate, fire, and hydrology to help communities understand and protect their environments. From coring ancient lakebeds in New England to analyzing flood sediments in the Mississippi Delta, I use geochemistry, GIS, and my favorite pair of boots to explore how people and nature have shaped our world.
I’ve worked on NSF-funded projects from the humid Mississippi River Delta to the wind-swept badlands of Nebraska combining field research, mapping, and data analysis with environmental regulation and community outreach. I’m also a trained artist and radio host, turning complex maps and data into clear, compelling visuals and stories that make science and history accessible to all.
I volunteer with many non-profit organizations helping to monitor waterways, control invasive species, and support restoration efforts across the Northeast US in partnership with state and local agencies.
I’m always excited to connect with others who are passionate about science, geologic mapping, communication, and building more resilient communities for a more sustainable world.
