Professor. Mentor. Strategist.
For more than three decades, I've had the privilege of working with students as they explore ideas, develop confidence, and make important decisions about their futures.
With more than 20 years as a marketing faculty member at UCLA, USC, MIT, and UC San Diego, I bring a deep understanding of audience, narrative, and strategic thinking to the college admissions process. I help students discover the deeper story connecting their experiences, interests, and aspirations—and communicate it with authenticity, clarity, and confidence.
Whether we're developing a college list, refining an essay, exploring academic interests, or launching an entrepreneurial project, my goal is the same: to help students better understand themselves and make thoughtful, informed decisions about their future.
Beyond college advising, I design and lead experiential entrepreneurship programs that connect students with startups, universities, and community leaders, giving them opportunities to solve real problems, test ideas, collaborate, and explore possible career paths.
I am also a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, a research community of business professionals providing insights on leadership, innovation, and emerging trends.
Every student brings a unique combination of strengths, interests, experiences, and aspirations. Rather than relying on templates or formulas, I take the time to understand each student as an individual and develop a strategy that reflects who they are.
The most compelling essays don't try to impress; they reveal curiosity, character, growth, and direction. My role is to help students recognize those qualities and communicate them with precision and authenticity.
Along the way, I provide the structure, accountability, and encouragement that keep students moving forward while allowing parents to step back from managing every detail.
College admission is an important milestone, but it is only the beginning.
One of the greatest rewards of my career has been watching former students go on to build businesses, advance technology, conduct research, launch nonprofits, and make meaningful contributions to their communities and the wider world.
My hope is that every student leaves our work together with more than a strong application. I want them to leave with greater self-awareness, stronger communication skills, and a clearer sense of who they are becoming.
