Finals

Each semester there will be a cumulative final exam that will count for 20% of the semester average. The remaining 80% of the average will come from the two nine-week grades in that semester.

       First 9 weeks grade   87           87 (.40) = 34.8

       Second 9 weeks grade 82        82 (.40) = 32.8

        First semester final   90            90 (.20) = 18    

        First-semester average ...........                   85.6

Here is some general information about the Fall Semester Final:

• You will have two hours to take the test.  You can not stop and start the exam - you must take it in one sitting. If you have an accommodation that allows you extra time, you need to meet with me so that we can make arrangements so that you get all the time you need in one sitting.

• The test will have 40 multiple choice questions... written by your teachers who know the mistakes you are likely to make!

• The test will ask questions about any topic or skill we have learned or reviewed this semester.

• You are NOT allowed to use your notes, or a calculator.

• However, you are allowed to bring a 4 in by 6 in index card with anything you would like on it.

  • diagrams

  • printed or handwritten, you choose just keep it to a 4 by 6 both sides are available!

  • no mass-produced cards / must be your own work!

• The schedule for the final is:

  • Tuesday, December 16th            B5 and B6

  • Wednesday, December 17th      A1 and A2

  • Thursday, December 18th            B7 and B8

  • Friday, December 19th               A3 and A4
