Raising the joy and understanding in playing the bagpipes is the main goal of this workshop.
Most important for having joy in playing the bagpipes is a well maintained and efficient tuned instrument.
The first part of the laboratory will be about basic maintenance to avoid unnecessarie air lost and difficulties in tuning.
After making sure the instruments are in good condition, we will move on to the tuning of the chanter and the drones for creating the wonderful deep harmonic sound of the Scottish bagpipes.
In the workshop we will pass by on different approaches to manipulate the sound in the direction of harmonie.
A last important step in creating this wonderful harmonic sound is a right technique in blowing and fingering. In different sessions on the practice chanter and the complete instrument, the focus will be on improving the finger and the blowing technique.
For a better understaning and help in studying new music there will also be a class of different Scottish music.

The workshop will have place in Cascina San Clemente, a restructured farmhouse in the surrounding of Biella.
It is part of the 1°Simposium of art and music, conducted by the Pro Loco di Occhieppo Inferiore APS.
The workshop will take place in the weekend of 16 and 17 november starting on the saturday morning at 10.00 am.
The cost of the workshop is 100 euro. This includes two lunches and a dinner.
Accomodation could be provided in consultation or need to be arranged personally.

L'obiettivo principale di questo workshop è di accrescere la gioia e la comprensione nel suonare la cornamusa.
La cosa più importante, per divertirsi suonando la cornamusa, è uno strumento accordato efficiente e ben mantenuto.
La prima parte del laboratorio riguarderà la manutenzione di base per evitare inutili perdite d'aria e difficoltà nell'accordatura.
Dopo esserci assicurati che gli strumenti siano in buone condizioni, passeremo all'accordatura del chanter e dei bordoni per creare il meraviglioso suono armonico profondo delle cornamuse scozzesi.
Nel workshop passeremo in rassegna diversi approcci per manipolare il suono in maniera armonica.
Un ultimo passo importante nella creazione di questo meraviglioso suono armonico è una tecnica corretta nel soffiare e nella diteggiatura.
Nelle diverse sessioni sul chanter pratico e sullo strumento completo, l'attenzione sarà focalizzata sul miglioramento del movimento delle dita e della tecnica di soffiaggio.
Per una migliore comprensione e un aiuto nello studio della nuova musica ci sarà anche un corso di diverse musiche scozzesi.

La durata dell'intero seminario sarà di due giorni: Sabato tutto il giorno, inizio alle 10.00 e Domenica fino alle 16.00.
Il workshop si svolgerà presso Cascina San Clemente, una cascina ristrutturata nei dintorni di Biella.
L'evento è parte del 1°Simposio d'arte e musica, realizzato dalla Pro Loco di Occhieppo Inferiore APS.
Il costo del workshop è di 100 euro, incluso di 3 pasti (2 pranzi e 1 cene).
