Lars Laenen is a musician, born in the city of Heerlen in the most southern region of the Netherlands.
He started playing music at the age of nine when he discovered the great highland bagpipe.
His interest in this Scottish instrument found a solid base thanks to the Coriovallum Pipe Band.
When he was eighteen, Lars decided it was time for travelling and discovering the world. He flew towards Australia.
He practised his music sessions in Hyde Park in the centre of Sydney, where he found the way to bring his music to the people.
The performances on stage as well as on the streets gave him the possibility to extend his travels.
After another year wandering around the other side of the world, the way went back to the Netherlands... But not for long!
Soon the life as a traveling musician started again... This time within the boundaries of Europe.
Travelling city to city, Lars developed towards the musician he is nowadays.
To any direction the wind blows.
