This is a classic, VCA stereo compressor, based on the "Bus compressor" module of the SSL 4000 G series mixing console.

The STEREO BUS COMPRESSOR works great on stereo mixes, drum mixes, drum overheads, acoustic guitars, keyboards, piano, voice-overs and any other sources.

The compressor does not contain tubes, transformers and other distorting elements inside, which allows you to keep the sound neutral. The "magic" is in the very special operation of the control circuit, which gives "musical compression" to any material, as well as the effect of some stereo expansion.

Unlike most replicas, STEREO BUS COMPRESSOR has some advanced features:

• Smooth adjustment of attack and release

• High-pass sidechain filter

• External sidechain source selector

• "True bypass" mode (optional, pre order). 1,5:1 Ratio mode

Unlike the "classic" switches used for Attack and Release settings, we use potentiometers for more precise and flexible adjustment of time parameters. You can adjust the parameters to the tempo of the material, for a better groove. When setting Attack/Release to fastest, the compressor works almost like a "saturator", adding distortion to signal, which may be useful in some situations.

This is an upgraded version of the classic FET compressor - 1176 Rev F, with advanced features.

76M is good for a variety of mono audio sources:
