COMING OUT PARTY 2022
With National Coming Out Day being celebrated and observed every year on October 11 to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people (a.k.a. the LGBT community, sometimes also called the queer community) in "coming out of the closet" Lapeer Pride has embarked on the idea to throw our own coming out party to celebrate the whole rainbow.
We celebrated National Coming Out Day this year with the first ever Coming Out Party October 16th, 2022! No matter what color combination our friends, family and community identified with, or who they were supporting - we all came out and celebrated together. We celebrated the spirit of the individual coming out to family, friends and colleagues, and living life as an openly gay/queer of a person they want to. We celebrated and supported those who could not come out for whatever reason and gave them a moment to be proud to celebrate who they authentically are. Together we celebrated he spirit of the individual of our friends, family and community.
After the great success that it was this year we will be making this an annual event!
