After you have applied and your application has been approved, you can start the LAPD's Probationary Training Program Zero Tolerance Assessment Period (ZTAP). This program is an extensive education into law enforcement and will cover all the necessary knowledge required. This will go through all the basic steps in entering:

This is highly recommended to be read before you attend a training
Step 3. Pass your Central Training
When a training is posted it will always be posted here
Your results will be posted here
This will cover all law enforcement knowledge that is required for LAPD
Step 4. Pass your ZTAP
Once you have completed your Central Training
2 Ride-Alongs Required [RA1 - Done with a Field Training Officer (FTO), RA2 - Done with a Supervisor (SGT+)]
Complete 4 hours of individual shift time
