When applying, please use 2-3+ sentences in your answers!! If your application lacks sentence requirement or lacks detail, it will most likely be denied. Before applying, please review the requirements. You can find the requirements both in this message and on the front page of the application. For any more information, check out our website.
The requirements to apply include:
You must be 13+ years of age.
You must include detail in your application, try to use more than 3 sentences per question.
Use grammar in your application.
Using any type of AI software will result in an automatic declined application and a possible Department Blacklist App results are released every Saturday in 「📖」results , you will be pinged if your application is accepted/denied. The application link can be found below.

What happens once I've applied?
What happens once I've applied?
After you have applied and your application has been approved, you can start the LAPD's Probationary Training Program Zero Tolerance Assessment Period (ZTAP). This program is an extensive education into law enforcement and will cover all the necessary knowledge required. This will go through all the basic steps in entering:
Step 1. Ensure your application has been read
This can always be checked here
All applications are read around every week
Step 2. Read through the Department Handbook
This will be available here
This is highly recommended to be read before you attend a training
Step 3. Pass your Central Training
When a training is posted it will always be posted here
Your results will be posted here
This will cover all law enforcement knowledge that is required for LAPD
Step 4. Pass your ZTAP
Once you have completed your Central Training
2 Ride-Alongs Required [RA1 - Done with a Field Training Officer (FTO), RA2 - Done with a Supervisor (SGT+)]
Complete 4 hours of individual shift time
