Our special process

The Embossing Process involves creating intricate frame patterns
using a unique decorative technique. 

We meticulously transfer the patterns onto the frames using our factory's special formula: a specialized clay called "Cap Wood."
Once the pattern is applied, the surface is carefully sanded to ensure a flawless canvas, preparing the frame for the subsequent finishing stages. 

Our Gilding Process (Foil Application) is a technique demanding delicate precision to ensure a flawlessly smooth and uniform finish on all four sides of the frame. 

The process begins with the hand-application of our factory's specialized adhesive, known as "Varnish." The gold or aluminum sheets are then cautiously laid onto the tacky surface and left to cure, transforming the frame with a radiant, high-end lustre. 

Our Water Gilding begins after the embossing process is complete and a specialized leather glue is applied to the frame. To build a rich, stable foundation, the frame is meticulously coated with yellow paint, dried, and then coated with red paint. 

This painting and drying cycle is repeated five times to ensure a uniform and vibrant color base.

Following this, the frame is prepared with a traditional, water-based adhesive, or "Gilder's Glue," which we create by carefully boiling gelatin sheets with clean water in specified proportions. 

The final application involves delicately brushing the frame with this glue before Italian gold leaf is applied. Once fully dried, the frame is polished to reveal a magnificent, classic lustre.
