AS a little kid, i always loved playing cooking games, namely papa Louie games and order up. i Was fascinated and entertained by these works, but little me always felt they lacked a form of physical interactivity that would take the cooking game play immersion to another level. It is based on this idea that i created “Chef It Up.” “Chef it up” is a combination of physical interaction and digital interaction to create a more immersive cooking experience. “Cook your Way” by Enric Llagostera was a huge inspiration for this game. Chef it Up’s core game play loop involves grabbing the customer’s order, cutting the ingredients using the physical knife and twisting the fire knob on and off to cook each ingredient and serve it to your customer in order to get money. but beware customers do not have all day ! They might get angry and leave.
Customers appear at random times. be ready and click on the food bubble to grab their order
Use the physical knife to cut the ingredients
Twist the knob to start the stove and cook the ingredients
Try to cook as fast and as accurately as possible to leave customers satisfied and earn more money!
This game was a great success although the creation process had its ups and downs. Using the microbit with scratch offers endless ways to create games like chef IT Up! chef it is available on scratch through this link: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1026075952
