President(s): Shall preside at all meetings of the SCA, including 4-6 general membership meetings and monthly SCA Board meetings; shall communicate as needed with presidents of other Verona SCAs; shall speak at Back to School Night, Kindergarten Orientation and Kindergarten Workshop; shall serve as a liaison between SCA and principal, teacher representative, and Board of Education; shall recommend committee chairs and present names to be voted upon; shall distributed written agenda at all meetings of SCA and Board; shall provide weekly email updates to Laning community or other district-approved community app. Additionally, the President is responsible for renewing the Legalized Games of Chance Bingo and Raffle License every two years. Next license to be renewed before September 2027.
Vice President of Membership: The Vice President of Membership shall be responsible for advertising annual committee vacancies and generating a list/spreadsheet of interested committee chairs and members; shall advertise vacant board positions in the spring of each school year; shall chair the Nominating Committee.
Vice President of Programming: The Vice President of Programming shall be responsible for creating SCA calendar of events after meeting with the Principal and Presidents(s) and editing and updating it throughout the year; shall communicate with committee chairs after each event to gather input and event details to be added to the Laning SCA Google Drive.
Secretary: The Secretary shall take minutes at each SCA meeting and shall post minutes to the SCA website and upload to the Laning SCA Google Drive; shall take minutes at each board meeting and forward them to the President(s) for distribution to board members; shall update all social media accounts with necessary information to communicate to the public; shall communicate information to the community via the SCA webpage or other agreed upon form of communication.
Treasurer: Treasurer shall keep accurate financial business records of all receipts and disbursements concerning SCA activities; present the budget at the first monthly meeting of the year, to then be presented for approval of the Association by the President(s), shall present budget and financial reports at monthly meetings. Additionally, the Treasurer is responsible to file tax returns, keeping up to date any government forms required, and SCA Checking Account.
