Our Creative Founders.
Language Youth RFG Ministries was founded by Chance Mabonge, a resilient leader whose personal journey as a refugee shaped his vision for the organization. As someone who learned English as his second language—through many struggles and obstacles, Chance understands firsthand the challenges refugee youth face when trying to adapt, communicate, and find belonging in a new culture.
Despite these difficulties, Chance turned his experiences into a mission: to support, empower, and uplift refugee youth around the world by helping them gain language skills, grow in faith, and access life-changing opportunities.
As the founder and CEO of Language Youth RFG, I am committed to bridging gaps through language and creativity. My role is not just to lead, but to inspire the next generation of communicators. Together with my talented team, we strive to create innovative programs that empower youth and celebrate their diverse voices.
When Chance Mabonge arrived in a new country as a refugee, he faced many of the same challenges that countless displaced youth encounter—uncertainty, isolation, and language barriers. English was his second language, and learning it was a slow and difficult journey.
Chance founded Language Youth RFG Ministries, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering refugee youth around the world. Drawing from his personal experience, Chance created a platform that offers more than just language support—it offers hope, purpose, and belonging.
