Welcome to Langport Ryukyu Karate Club at the Kongokonsui Dojo. We are a small non-profit making club based in South Somerset.
We are dedicated to teaching the art of Ryukyu Karate where new students are always welcome.
Who can join?
Anyone from age 5 upwards. We are happy for any student or Sensei of any style to come along and train with us.
When are the classes?
We train every Tuesday, 51 weeks of the year.
7-8pm: Adults and children
8-9pm: Follow on session for adults only
How much does it cost?
Your first lesson is free.
Training fees are:
£14.60 per month for 1 hour training per week
£29.50 per month for 2 hours training per week.
or £3.50 per hour pay-as-you-go
We are a non-profit making club so, if you are able, we appreciate fees paid monthly in advance so that we know we can cover the cost of the hall hire.
Annual Ryukyu Karate Association membership is £15 per year which entitles you to be assessed for gradings.
Gradings, belts and certificates are provided for free.
You will need to purchase a white karate gi (suit). These start from as little as £12 online for a children's suit.
Where do you train?
At Long Sutton Village Hall, 3.5 miles outside Langport, Somerset. There is plenty of free parking at the village hall.
