SCHOOL COUNSELORS
Lane's School Counselors work collaboratively to provide a comprehensive developmental counseling program for all students. All students are assigned to a school counselor upon entering Lane. Click on the Counselor Division Assignments button below to find the counselor assigned to your division.
Mission
Our mission as Lane Tech school counselors is to provide all students and their families a full range of services that will optimize academic achievement, define college and career goals and address social and emotional needs. In collaboration with all faculty and staff, our counselors advocate for a safe and an enriching school environment for all students. The program's ultimate goal is to educate students to be independent thinkers and gain a well-rounded education in order to become responsible and professional global citizens.
Services
School Counselors assist students with the following:
Successfully navigating the high school process while helping to prepare them for post-secondary options
Acting as liaison to all academic departments, school services, and the community
Academic advising, career and post-secondary guidance and personal/social support

Location & Hours
We are located in Room 212 & Room 135. The office is open everyday from 7:30 AM to 3:45 PM. Students are invited to visit during their lunch periods or other non-class time. Please refer to your School Counselor's posted office hours below.
Appointments
To make an appointment to see a counselor, students can go to the School Counseling Office and sign in during their lunch period, before or after school. Students are also welcome to email their counselors to make an appointment or use the online booking posted below.

COLLEGE & CAREER COACH
Ms. Erin Driesbach
Ms. Driesbach supports students with financial aid (FSA ID creation, FAFSA, Alternative App, and navigating verification), follow-up meetings about colleges after your senior meeting with your counselor, and additional support for students pursuing non-college paths. She also hosts college representatives and scholarship/ non-profit organizations who wish to present to Lane students and runs first generation student groups.
