Welcome to my website! My name is Lanesha Kelly I'm from North Carolina and I am a freshman here at High Point University. I am 18 years old my birthday is May 13th and my major is Entrepreneurship. I love music and making content such as YouTube videos!
Since the day I was born, music has been a constant in my life. I used to sing my little heart out with the other adults and children in the church choir. Even my father works in the music business; he is a well-known producer who has collaborated with a number of well-known artists of the present day, including Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, Diddy, and many others. However, as I've grown older, hip-hop and RnB music have had the biggest an impact on me. Because I really adore the way I can feel the beat enter my ear and flow through my body, those musical genres are my favorites. Even though I know it's harmful for my ears, I always play loud music because I enjoy every bass. I place such a great importance on music since it is not just a form of art but also has the power to unite people. Different musicians' music has the power to change and save people's lives in a variety of ways. Additionally, I enjoy going to events with a large crowd and loud music being played by a DJ booth. Summer Walker and Sza are two artists I turn to when I'm feeling down. I listen to Lil Baby and other artists like him when I'm feeling energised. I use music to express my emotions and rely on the lyrics to speak for me when I'm unable to do so. Even at one point in my life, I attempted to produce music on my phone by myself. I would write some lyrics, obtain tracks from YouTube, and then use Garage Band to record my voice. At the time, I mistakenly believed that I was Beyonce, but that was not the case. My mother even registered me for America Got Talent once, but happily I did not go through with the process. The moral of the story is that I enjoy listening to many types of music. As long as the beat and soul are present, and I can relate to the lyrics.
The mindful-noting exercise gets a 4 from me. Sleep and nature activity 3. I would give the what went well exercise a 3. The exercise and self-talk are both undoubtedly a 5 next. Everything was rated according to how much it directly affected me. As I naturally engage in both self-talk and exercise every day, I can say with certainty that they were quite beneficial. Overall, each activity I've completed so far has aided in my growth as a person during the semester and enabled me to open up. Everything was rated according to how much it directly affected me. As I naturally engage in both self-talk and exercise every day, I can say with certainty that they were quite beneficial. Overall, each activity I've completed so far has aided in my growth as a person during the semester and enabled me to open up. Exercise and self talk were my top picks since they appeared the most logical and feasible to me because I engage in them so frequently. I basically use self-talk to get through my daily existence. Prior to taking any action, I always think things through and plan what I want to do. Exercise, in my opinion, does have its challenges, particularly when it comes to regularity and when your body is in pain, making it difficult to conduct a lot of physical activity throughout the day. Well, I was inadvertently already performing some of these exercises, therefore I am confident that I can keep doing them regularly. I'd give myself a 7 out of 10, or even a bit higher. I am content at this level because I constantly witness people putting themselves down and making it very tough to recover from their difficulties. I just reflect on everything I've been through and consider how I overcame each challenge to get to where I am today by not giving up or choosing the easy route. My resilience has undoubtedly been put to the test during the past two months, particularly in the academic realm. It can be exhausting to try to study for two tests in one day or to sit down and write a 1,000 word paper. Some classes require more effort than others. But, I always manage to calm myself down, do the task, and talk myself through it. After going over each aim, I can say that I definitely learned something about being able to define various musical elements for music #1. The ability to discuss what was actually heard as a class and the daily listening exercises we conduct during each class hour have contributed to this. I believe you can rehearse for music number two both in and outside of class. We all listen to music on a regular basis, and each person's experience with it and how it affects their lives will vary. The fourth interpersonal skill, which requires critical thinking, has unquestionably been developed for me in the classroom and occasionally in real-life situations. however, most frequently during our in-class talks. The beats and loops task in class is probably my favorite. Because I did enjoy experimenting with the various compositions and being able to easily make a beat. The sound composition is probably my least favorite. Yes, it was similar to the ambient track, but for some reason I found it harder. Like, it was difficult for me to locate musical elements that I hadn't already used, and it was challenging to complete the track's objectives in general. The fact that the project was so simple and I did well on it overall means that it will probably stick with me. When we started discussing the various wavelengths and rhythms and simply breaking down music in general, I would say that my understanding of music altered. I had no idea this was a branch of music or how sophisticated it might be. I tried to be realistic when responding to the exercises as honestly as accurately as I could. Not every activity had a significant influence on me, and I made sure to note that in every notebook. Friction typically surfaced throughout the week when I was simply busy or exhausted. It was difficult to maintain concentrate on the task at hand and to keep track of the exercise for that particular week. I can't think of any study habits I've picked up. I am certain that this class is teaching me far more than I had anticipated. When I was originally given this class, I thought we would only be learning about music, not life. But, I am happy that I persisted in taking this course and now have access to the information I do since I can utilize it to improve my whole trip by incorporating it into my daily life. I believe I have been performing well thus far during the first semester. I finish my work on time and do my best to accomplish each assignment. I have to make ready for the fact that the second semester will involve more practical projects, but I am confident that I will overcome any challenges that arise.
I chose the exercises based on how much I could relate to them and whether I could really envision myself performing them for the rest of my life.I believe that some workouts were beneficial right away, while others were beneficial in the long run. The capacity to recover from adversity or challenging circumstances is resilience. It is the ability to bounce back quickly from setbacks, adjust to change, and maintain a positive outlook despite difficulties. A person who is resilient can persevere through challenging situations and come out stronger and more capable as a result. On the other hand, a growth mindset is the conviction that one's skills and intelligence can be improved through commitment and effort. This kind of thinking sees difficulties and failures as chances for growth rather than signs of inherent limitations. Over time, those who have a development mentality are more likely to succeed because they are generally more driven and tenacious in the face of difficulties. Resilience and a growth mindset are both crucial traits that can aid people in overcoming challenges and succeeding in both their personal and professional life. They can also support people in developing healthier relationships, managing stress, and keeping a positive attitude on life. I was able to complete each course objective because to the things we did in and out of class, such internalizing the readings we were given and listening to the music that was performed in class. Not to mention the group talks and journals, everything I learnt today was combined.
