How to write an essay?
How to write an essay?
We are regularly faced with the need to take part in writing, especially at school or university. At the same time, for many, such a task seems to be a terrible and insurmountable test, because we often can’t determine the topic and content of the essay, its idea and structure. Another difficult task of writing an essay is the use of various grammatical structures, linking words and so-called "interesting" models. Now let's try to figure out what an essay is, what structures and writing tips are best to use.
So what is an essay? An essay is a small free-form text in which the author expresses personal impressions and thoughts on any occasion or issue. There are 3 types of essays in English:
• For & Against Essays
• Points to consider
• Opinion Essays
Despite the type, a well-written essay consists of an introduction (characterization of the topic), the main part (an opinion is expressed on the problem) and a conclusion (summing up). But why is it that often even a well-structured and well-written essay does not interest the reader (he stops before reaching the end of the text)? it's all about using interesting constructions, leading questions, allowing the reader to think about the problem for himself, and then find the answer in our essay. One such “essay success formula” is AIDA.
AIDA is a covert reading or customer management model. There are 4 stages in the classic AIDA model:
• A (attention)
• I (interest)
• D (desire)
• A (action)
Sometimes S (satisfaction) and M (motivation) are added to this formula. Let's see how this model works.
A (attention) is a very important part, because if the reader is not interested in some topic, then there is a high probability that the rest of this formula will not even be useful. We need bright and unusual expressions. For example, if this is an essay about a movie, you could use the following:
• If you are looking for a new and exciting movie then this is for you.
• If you haven't watched this movie yet, then buy tickets to the cinema as soon as possible.
• Do you want to spend the evening with benefit and pleasure? This movie is for you.
If the essay is about a book, you can use the following:
• Imagine that you are the captain of a ship. What would you do in the event of an accident? This book will tell you!
• If you have not read this book, then rather run to the library or to the store for it.
You can also use key quotes from the book:
• This is how the world works: there are people who like the truth, and there are those who love lies. ("Liar")
I (interest). When your essay is noticed, you need to play on reader interest. If this is, for example, Opinion Essays, then it is necessary to briefly but vividly describe your attitude to the subject:
• I do not agree with this statement because I believe that...
• I may be wrong about… but I think…
D (desire). After you have interested the reader, it is necessary to arouse a desire to follow your advice or agree with your opinion. For example, if this is an essay on a book, then it's time to provoke a person to buy it:
• You will definitely not regret if you plunge headlong into this amazing fantasy world.
• This detective is what you need for today.
A (action). The moment when a person is called to action. Quite rarely used in essays, but in marketing it is expressed as:
• Leave your email address and we will call you back.
• Pass the test to get a 20% discount;
There are many advantages to using AIDA: it is used in any field, vividly embodies the ideas of the author, and directly arouses the interest and attention of a person. Apart from the AIDA model, there are a few more essay writing tips:
• It is necessary to adhere to the structure and argue your arguments.
• Brevity is a trait of talent.
• The use of linking words (like because, due to)
• Use of a variety of vocabulary and rare words.
• Write “softly” (Compare: “I am sure that…” and “In my opinion…”)
We really hope that this article will be useful to you in writing interesting essays for this blog, as well as in educational activities.

Pros and Cons of Computers for Students
Do you know that most schools and colleges strongly recommend students to have computers to help them achieve better results of learning. With computer connected to Internet, students can learn English online. They can make reports easily by using word processing software. They can play games to get of boredom. However, a computer can also give negative impacts for a student.
One thing that makes a computer useful is that students can use it to finish some assignments from schools. By connecting to Internet, they can easily surf and find any materials related to their lessons and assignments. They have unlimited resources from all over the worlds. Online libraries are open. A lot of book are free to download and read online. Finding friends from related field of study is not difficult anymore. They can work together to boost their best achievement. What more benefit is they can do all of that just by sitting on the a chair of their rooms. What amazing world it is, isn’t?
Although a computer has many benefits, it should be considered deeply. A computer certainly does not promote students to do and move more. A computes makes students have less physical activities. Even not few of them forget to have lunch while they are playing certain game. They just sit in front of monitors. They are caught up in the mystique of the smart machines. In short, students who usually work with computers tend to have a few physical activities and exercises.
So what should students do? Should they avoid using computers? Please, write your opinion about this situation to our email: 27gymnasium.minsk@gmail.com
Anna: In the age of information technology, it is very difficult not to use electronic gadgets, including computers. I think it would be really hard for a student not to use a computer or other electronic devices, because they contain so many useful programs that make a student's life easier. In general, the computer is a huge source of different information. What it doesn't have: encyclopaedias, educational games, dictionaries, essays. In the past, students had to store a lot of books at home or carry a lot of textbooks with them every day, but today you can easily find the right book or textbook on the Internet and download it to your computer. This can save your back and space in your backpack or on the bookshelves at home. However, it is good to know, that working with a computer should not become an addiction. You must remember that a computer is just a machine made of metal and plastic, and a machine can never satisfy all of a person's needs.
Kate: I am sure that it is very good idea when students use computers for study. but there are some cons. First of all it is bad for your eyes and posture. Being in front of the monitor for a long time without breaks, especially at night, it causes poor eyesight. That is why every 40 minutes you have to take 15 minutes off.
When you spend a lot of time working in computer with websites, texts, then you have a lot of information in your brain, and it leads to tiredness.
Due to a long stay in front of the computer and minimal physical activity, blood circulation in the body slows down, which negatively affects the functioning of the vascular system and heart muscle.
Anna: Using computers is a good idea, but we should understand that there are three groups of people. The first group uses computers for learning something, the second group uses computers only for surfing social media or playing computer games and the third group combine these activities learning and relaxing. I think the second and the third groups are more popular than the first group. Technologies grow up not every year, they grow every month! Now people are using computers more and more. I think we can't imagine our day without computers. And it has some disadvantages. One of them is that people forget how to communicate with each other in real life. It's not good. But technologies make our life simplier I think.
Maria Akushko: I can't be sure about the impact computers have on students and people in general. The social influence of technology is that it opens doors to unlimited information and knowledge. However, every medal has two sides. Videos, illustrations and diagrams motivate students to work better. The Internet can certainly be an inspiration to students by showing them other successful people.Every day I motivate myself by listening to speeches and use it for my academic growth. I no longer have to worry about forgetting information because everything I need is online and available to me most of the time.
On the other hand, having unlimited information can make us overly anxious and even less confident because we tend to compare ourselves to others. Technology opens up many avenues, and the way intimidation does not go beyond the rules. However, if we choose the right apps and use them correctly, we will benefit from our work.
Tatiana Muho: In turn, I would like to add a minus to all the advantages of working with a computer already voiced above. If we take the impact of information technology on students' lives, then they usually use the Internet to find abstracts, presentations, or reports. Yes, yes, there is no typo here. Most students are focused on finding ready-made works. With other people's information, analytics, and conclusions. This person can hardly learn anything by preparing such work. Or, there is another option for preparing such works, taking all the information from one site you like. As a rule, there are already ready-made analytics and conclusions there, which do not give many benefits. Previously, people were forced to spend a lot of time going to libraries and reading a lot of literature that at least indirectly related to the topic of interest to them. Of course, it takes a lot more time, but it brings more benefits and expands horizons. Of course, it's more convenient to live in our time. It is more convenient to do everything from home, but it should be remembered that in order not to degrade, you need to constantly develop.
Nuclear energy is commonly offered as an alternative to overcome the crisis of energy. The debate whether the use of nuclear energy is an appropriate choice or not, has not come to an end. Some people agree with the utilization of it because of its benefits. Some others, however, disagree because of its risks to the environment.
Those who agree with the operation of nuclear reactors usually argue that nuclear energy is the only feasible choice to answer the ever – increasing energy needs. In their opinion, the other sources of energy: oil, coal, and liquid natural gas are not renewable and safe, while nuclear energy can be sustainable when produced in a safe way.
However, people who disagree with the use of nuclear energy point out that the waste of nuclear products can completely destroy the environment and human lives. A meltdown in reactor, for example, usually results in the contamination of the surroundings soil and water. Take for example, the blow up of the nuclear reactor at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station in Ukraine 37 ago. The serious contamination imperiled people's lives and the environment severely.
It is obvious that nuclear energy should be avoided because it really endangers the environment but what about a less polluted energy instead of nuclear energy. Is there any alternative energy to overcome the crisis of energy? In my opinion, nuclear energy is the best choice to overcome the crisis of energy. However, government should make sure that nuclear reactor’s construction and maintains are safe.
Howevew, what do you think about it? Please, write your opinion about this statement to our email: 27gymnasium.minsk@gmail.com
We agree with opinion that nuclear energy is the best choice to overcome the crisis of energy. But nuclear enegry degrades the environment. environmental pollution occurs at the mocular level and the problem is that we don’t see it. but the result will be visible in the future.
It also creates radioactive waste that is lethal to the environment and dangerous to people. If this waste is not disposed of correctly, then the harm may last for thousands of years in some habitats. In the United States, losses associated with the use of nuclear waste materials are estimated to be a minimum of $38 billion.
The problem with nuclear energy is that it produces radiation as a side effect. If an accident occurs, then it immediately affects the health of people. The thyroid is particularly sensitive to the effects of sediment, which can cause problems.
We're sure that you have heard about the Chernobyl accident on 26th April 1986. It was the biggest disaster in the USSR. Unfortunately, people didn't warn in time, and they died in misery. And consequences of this and other nuclear disasters still terrible. It will take thousands of years for full restoration of nature in these kind of places. Maybe when nuclear power plants will become more credible; people will understand how to prevent disasters, the whole planet will be able to switch to nuclear energy, like France for example.
But at the same time, the advantage of nuclear power is that it can operate at any time of day. This means it is more efficient than most regenerative energy sources, including wind and solar power.
Of course, there are some things to consider when using nuclear power. The risks of radiation effects and environmental damage are very costly from an environmental point of view (as we've said before). Some people would say that we’ve been lucky to only experience a few serious incidents that have cost a lot of lives and created exclusion zones, but these incidents have left a very big mark on the whole planet.

Talent is an inborn gift, inherent in everyone at birth. All you need to do is to develop your talent according to your specific field. There are many examples of talented people who have failed to realise their potential in life. They have shown their talents but never got to the peak of their career. To avoid this happening to you, you need to be self-disciplined in order to realise your true potential in life. Lack of discipline is one of the reason why most talented people never succeed in their chosen profession.Talent also goes very well with patience. Patience is a very important character trait, because it helps us to cope with emotional stress and to go for our goals and not give up.
Talent does not always translate to success! Successful people have many other skills that help them to achieve their goals. But to work on your talents, you have first to discover them. A talent can be something that you are good at.Talent does not guarantee success– it only helps it along.Talent only gives you the confidence to get there.Generally a person who has a talent has an ability to learn easily. Talent can help people pursue their career in it. So talent without hard work is pretty much useless. When talent and hard work come together they can achieve great success in life.
Nobody will come to you and offer you the career of your dreams. You have to work hard to be successful.
You must be passionate about what you are doing. If you hate what you have chosen, you will be bored. In the end, you will be completely relaxed. You will not give all your best and realize your full potential. Because you will not see the point in your actions. As a result, you will lose interest and start looking for new ways to express yourself. Or give up everything.
The guarantee of success comes to interested and active individuals. You cannot give up halfway. You must find motivation in yourself even on those days when you want to sleep until dinner after a walk with friends. You need to keep believing in yourself even when the whole world doubts you.
What you should to do if you have your point of view? Please, write your opinion about this statement to our email: 27gymnasium.minsk@gmail.com
Varvara Grigorieva: I agree with everything said above. Talent is really only a part of all success. But in order to become successful, you need really be interested in the business that you are doing. Through hard work, you will develop your talent, new ideas, etc. You have to discipline yourself and if you want to succeed, then you need to do your own thing all the free time. The article said that talented people do not always succeed due to the lack of certain qualities. Yes, it is. But with full confidence you can begin to develop these qualities in you. Talent is not a guarantee of success. You are the guarantor of your success!
Stress resistance and patience are also very important qualities of character. This will help not only in achieving goals in life, but also in ordinary everyday situations. This is a very useful quality of character, so it should be developed from an early age.
Also, if you don't think that there is a lot of meaning in life, don't set goals for yourself, let life take its course, then you are unlikely to be able to achieve any kind of success. If you are not interested in anything, you should not expect that fate will throw everything at you. Create your life and yourself.
Tatyana Muho: I believe that talent is a good tool for success, but not its only component. From what has not yet been announced here, we can mention self-esteem. You need to believe in yourself and your strength. If you endlessly doubt your ideas or think too long, you will most likely change your mind. And another person will take up this idea with much more faith in himself, who can succeed, then you should not breathe in that someone is to blame, that you did not succeed, the idea was stolen, etc. You renounced it, or maybe you were just afraid to bring it to life. Accordingly, another quality that a businessman cannot develop in himself is the fear of taking risks. After all, if we are talking about business, then these are always risks, sometimes even unjustified. Yes, you can burn out, but you can also pay off, and no one can guarantee that. And there is no time to think and doubt for a long time, either you risk it, or someone else tries. Develop self-esteem and a lack of fear of taking risks, then you will succeed!
Anna Goncharik: Talent is an important factor in achieving success. It is a natural person's ability, which can help to person's success. However, talent alone is not a guarantee of success. There are some other factors, such as hard work, decision, motivation and luck.Talent alone does not icreasse success because success needs decision, discipline and the ability to overcome problems. A person may have all the talent in the world, but if they lack the motivation and decision to work hard and overcome challenges, they may never achieve success. Luck also plays an important role in success. A person may have all the talent and work hard, but if they are not in the right place at the right time or do not have the right connections, they may not be able to achieve their goals.
There are actually many definitions for the words freedom and independent person these days. We suggest that you first think about the definition of each of these words and then make a general conclusion.
To do this, we need to answer the first question: What kind of person is called independent?
An independent person is one who makes his own decisions and works in his own way.
Such a person is also able to regulate and take responsibility for his or her own behaviour without listening to other people's opinions.
To be free or independent - the choice is yours! Often people are afraid of freedom because they don't understand what it is and think it's really scary. So they want to be independent because it's a very concrete definition, they know exactly that they don't want to be dependent on anything or anyone. But if you think that they are able to make their own decisions and that they are also responsible for the results of those decisions, then the desire to be free in that sense disappears.
Freedom is defined as the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.Freedom is achieved as you overcome the internal barriers that we must all face, given our society, in which we were delivered and we grew up. Joko Villinc says that discipline is equal to freedom, and there is a lot of truth in these words. We all start with a certain level of freedom as humans.
Independence is defined as freedom from the control, influence, support or the like, of others. With independence comes the free will to manage oneself while at the same time being able to make rules and do what is right by yourself.and unlike freedom, for independence you need a long time to gain it because it's difficult.
You can be free but not independent. it confirms the idea that independence and freedom are not the same thing.
The dictionary defines that freedom is the ability of a person to act in accordance with his desires, while understanding reality. Freedom is external and internal. Independence is more related to external circumstances, when a person has limitations associated with external factors. For example, until we reach adulthood, we are directly dependent on our parents, they provide for us. But even before reaching the age of 18 (in our country), people can be free individuals, express their opinions and emotions, or be limited by their own ideals. This once again proves that freedom and independence are not the same thing.
Do you have your own idea? If yes, please, write your opinion about this statement to our email: 27gymnasium.minsk@gmail.com
Anna Goncharik: Freedom and independence are two concepts which have different meanings. While both concepts mean the ability to make choices, freedom means the ability to make choices without any restrictions. It is the ability to express oneself, achive one's goals, and live a life without fear of condemnation, discontent from the society. Independence means the ability to do something without other's help. Both concepts are important for individual and social life, but they must be balanced with responsibility, other people rights and a sense of community. Freedom and independence are not the same, but they are both necessary for life.
The industrialization of the meat industry has been a recent phenomenon. Since the 1950s, large-scale production of livestock and poultry has replaced traditional farming methods in many parts of the world. This shift has enabled food manufacturers to produce large quantities of meat and poultry at a much faster rate than ever before. The process of raising animals for meat involves various methods, such as genetic engineering and artificial insemination, as well as intensive confinement in feedlots or cages.
Humans have been consuming meat for thousands of years. While the exact origin of when humans began eating animals is unknown, it has been suggested that early hunter-gatherers were most likely the first to begin consuming meat. Early humans likely hunted and scavenged for food, with hunting being an important part of their diet and providing them with vital sources of nutrition.
Today, in many parts of the world, meat is still an important part of the diet and provides essential sources of protein and other nutrients. However, the way in which humans consume meat has changed significantly since the beginning of human civilization, particularly with the rise of the industrial meat industry in the last century.
The ethical argument against consuming meat is one of the most heated topics in the food industry today. As more and more people become aware of the cruel conditions that animals are kept in, the ethics of consuming meat has become a more widely discussed issue.
The use of antibiotics, hormones, and other drugs to increase the size and weight of animals for food production, as well as practices such as beak trimming and tail docking, have come under increased scrutiny in recent years. Furthermore, animal welfare groups are increasingly advocating for a shift towards plant-based diets, arguing that raising animals for consumption is both unethical and unnecessary.
At the same time, many farmers and ranchers argue that they are providing humane and compassionate care for their animals, and are often opposed to regulations that could limit their ability to raise animals for food. They point out that many of the animal welfare regulations that have been put in place are actually beneficial for the health and wellbeing of the animals.
Ultimately, this is an argument that is not likely to be resolved anytime soon. It is an important issue to consider when debating the morality of eating meat, and it should be part of any conversation on the topic.

Tatyana Muho: In fact, the topic of the ethics of killing animals for food is very difficult. I suggest we go through the facts. If we talk about the advantages of meat eating, then this is an undoubted benefit for our bodies. After all, meat contains the substances necessary for human development. That is why it is not recommended to become a vegan before reaching adulthood. However, if we talk about the disadvantages, then this is undoubtedly the inhumanity of killing animals. In itself, killing is no longer humane, and what is done to animals before killing, in general, can sometimes be terrifying, because cases of trimming the beak or cupping the tail are not uncommon. This topic can be discussed indefinitely, but technology does not stand still. Nowadays, it is possible to artificially create soy meat. Soon it will have a full spectrum of the useful properties of ordinary meat, and accordingly, it will be able to completely replace it. Probably, it is then that the issue of this discussion will be resolved.
Anna Goncharik: On one hand, humans have been killing animals for food for thousands of years. It is a natural part of the food and necessary for survival. Meat gives essential nutrients such as protein and iron that are difficult to get from plant-based sources. On the other hand, some argue that killing animals for food is unnecessary. With advancements in agriculture and technology, there are many plant-based alternatives that can provide the same nutrients as meat. There are also environmental concerns associated with meat consumption. The production of meat requires large amounts of land, water, and resources, contributing to deforestation, water pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions. Is it good to kill animals for food is a everyone's personal decision. While some may say that it is necessary for survival and part of our life, others may say that it is unnecessary and unethical.
Pavel Vorobiov: Food is fundamental to human existence. The body needs proteins, fats, carbohydrates. Man is by nature a carnivorous creature and he needs to eat meat. But still, a person has a mind and often he has ideas of a humane nature and it becomes a pity for him to kill a cow for the sake of a cutlet. But after all, no one condemns a lynx for eating a young fawn yesterday. It will seem cruel to many, but that's life. Giving up meat will negatively affect your body. This is the food chain, so no matter how much a person tries to get away from the animal past, we will still remain essentially the same animals. And all sorts of soy cutlets will never reach the level of normal steak and beef. Just imagine how cool this juicy steak of marbled beef, which was mined yesterday in the Swiss meadows, is boiling.
Let’s admit it: many of us, when we hear the word "science", imagine ourselves sitting at our desks, nervously flipping through the pages of a textbook and spending our whole lives behind a stack of books. Now such an occupation is unlikely to cause enthusiasm and interest, although not so long ago being a scientist was considered a privilege and an interesting profession. So what is the problem of such disinterest of young people in science?
It seems to me that many of us are under pressure: follow school rules, wear certain clothes, spend time not on subjects that you like, but on those that are more difficult or "needed". Such conditions sooner or later deprive people of the desire to learn, because in many cases they were forced to do it in one way or another. Now tell me: what kind of person would have a desire to become a scientist or make some kind of discovery, if from an early age he was forced to a certain kind of activity, his interest was beaten off by some restrictions and rules?
Previously, many did not have the opportunity to study, and academic performance did not play such a big role. Indeed, there were individuals in whom there were the beginnings of future geniuses and whose desire for learning was not interrupted by social causes.
With all this, I want to say that I think that today's disinterest of young people in science can be explained by the huge pressure from outside. People have a so-called protest against existing restrictions (including in the field of education), which is why many suppress their inner potential and desire for knowledge. Perhaps all this could have been avoided if we did not have such strict school rules and regulations, numerous duties and responsibilities.
Do you have your own idea? If yes, please, write your opinion about this statement to our email: 27gymnasium.minsk@gmail.com
Anna Gonchsrik: From childhood, we are taught to have different rules and responsibilities. And this is normal, but many teenagers understand what they need and what they must do to achieve their goals. And many aren't interested in what they don't need, but teenagers are had to learn a huge number of school subjects that aren't interesting to them and do not seem necessary. I think, young people are not interested in science, because of the fact that they have always been had to teach and understand things what they don't like. Perhaps the world has already missed a huge number of geniuses who were doing another things insted of create something new.
This post is different from all the others because we want to get to know you, our readers, a little better. If you like the idea, we will do more posts like this to get to know you better. We suggest we start with the things we all like to do in our leisure time, like watching films - we're sure you all have a favourite film you'd like to share with us.
Anna.
There isn’t a person in the world who hasn’t heard of Titanic. This film was released in 1997.It was directed, written and produced by James Cameron. The film made an instant success and is still very popular. It was nominated for “Oscar” in 14 nominations and won 11 of them. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. . In my opinion, their acting is excellent. The camerawork is fantastic, too. After this film both actors became famous all over the world. "Titanic” remained the most successful film of all time, until the released of "Avatar" in 2010. There are really very interesting fact that they made a full-size model of the “Titanic” for this film. The film tells us the story of two people, Rosa and Jack, who fell in love with each other. Rose was from high society and Jack was a poor artist who won his ticket in a card game. Their troubles began when the others found out about this love. Despite everything Rose and Jack stood by each other. Unfortunately, we will never know whether this beautiful love story would have a happy ending as Jack did not survive, but Rose survived. To my mind, Titanic is one of those films after which no one will be unaffected. So I suggest you watch this movie if you haven’t seen it yet.
Kate.
It is the second film that you should try to guess. this movie was directed by Chris Columbus and written and produced by John Hughes. It was released in 1990,
it is one of the best Christmas movies that were made by the film industry in the last two decades. this film won the golden globe in the nomination of the best comedy. The scenes were filmed on location at a three-story single-family house located at 671 Lincoln Avenue in the North Shore village of Winnetka, Illinois. this film is a great establishment of Christmas tradition, which brings its spirit to every home.
When 8-year-old boy, which was played by famous actor Macaulay Culkin, behaved badly at the night before a family trip to Paris, his mother (Catherine O'Hara) makes him sleep in the attic. After his mother mistakenly leave for the airport without boy, he wakes up in an empty house and predict that his wish to have no family has come true. But his excitement sours when he realizes that two burglars (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) plan to rob the McCallister residence, and that he alone must protect the family home. I will wait your answer in your post.
Anna
What do you think about watching a movie that has grossed nearly $3 billion? I think you are interested. Most likely you have seen this movie or at least heard about the "tall blue people" from this movie. The film was released in 2009 in the USA, it was directed by James Cameron (we offer the second film by this director). The film is a story about an interesting world with its own Na'vi population, which people intervened to extract unobtanium. The main character, played by Sam Worthington, is not a scientist, but only a replacement for his brother. He enters the world of the Na'vi inhabitants and meets the beautiful girl Naitiri (Zoe Saldana), and what happened next and how the story of the protagonist ended, you can find out after watching the film. And I'll be waiting for your answer, what kind of movie is this.

Anna Goncharik: One of my favotite film is "Devil wears Prada". I started watch this film in the english lesson. It was interesting for me and at home I watched the film to the end. The film is a perfect example of combining comedy and drama. The acting performances in a high level, especially Miranda Priestly played by Meryl Streep. One of the coolest aspects of "Devil wears Prada" is its relatability. Many people have experienced the pressure to succeed in a difficult job, and the film shows this pressure. The characters are interesting, classical, it's easy to understand them and associate with them oneself."Devil wears Prada" is a must-watch film for anyone who enjoys a good story and excellent acting. It is a timeless classic which you can watch even today and you don't feel emotions that this is something too old or you don't want to watch it to the end.
In the modern world, as you know, it is possible to transport not only people, but also a variety of things: from fragile products to flammable substances. However, there are special types of cargo that (in the event of an accident or non-compliance with safety rules) can cause great harm to a person. Such cargoes usually include oil, gasoline, radioactive substances and even poisonous gases. An accident of a transport-carrier, depending on the volume of cargo, can lead to both partial or complete loss of cargo, and to an environmental disaster.
But why, even given the danger of such transportation, do we continue to do this? Often on the streets you can see cars with trailers with certain signs, as well as numbers from the UN list. This is one of the rules for the transport of dangerous goods. These rules also include the need to maintain a certain temperature, the presence of a valve, the specialization of the carrier, etc. Not everyone can afford to comply with these rules: a fire safety system and a special selection of employees require considerable costs. It is much easier and, importantly, cheaper to choose the first driver that comes across, explain safety precautions to him and send him to “steer” around the city with radiation in a trailer. As for larger shipments (by ships or aircraft), the problem here is the danger of the path: no one is immune from an accident or (in the case of sea transportation) collision with water bodies.
A prime example of such a disaster is an accident that occurred on March 23, 1989 off the coast of Alaska. As a result of the disaster, about 40.9 million liters spilled into the sea, forming an oil slick. According to the source of Wikipedia, the reasons were:
• Unpreparedness of the crew
• Collision warning radar damage
• yaw
• lack of equipment and people
As you can see, catastrophes of this type depend both on external circumstances and on a person. This is not to say that dangerous transportation is meaningless: in the case of more complex transportation, the products will cost much more. However, we should not forget about irreversible environmental damage.

Anna Goncharik: Transportation of dangerous goods is a crucial part of modern society. We rely on it for the delivery of essential goods such as fuel, chemicals, and medical supplies. However, the transportation of dangerous materials can also pose a big risk for human life and the nature. In the event of an accident or non-compliance with safety regulations, dangerous goods can make catastrophic harm to people and nature. Transportation of dangerous materials is necessary to modern society, but it must be managed carefully. The risks associated with transporting dengerous materials are high, and compliance with safety regulations is critical. The cost of non-compliance can be catastrophic, resulting in large harm to individuals and nature. We must continue to transport dangerous materials while doing all necessary things to safe.
Pavel Vorobiov: In the 21st century, everyone is dependent on transport. We receive parcels by sea and by air, we go to work every day using personal or public transport. But among such an abundance of transport, in your opinion, which one is the most dangerous? Maybe planes? After all, we have seen enough films about plane crashes and terrorist attacks. Or maybe sea transport? The sea surface is constantly being stormed and the ship is in danger of crashing. Most likely, you will ask a logical question that it is not for nothing that many people have phobias of flying or sailing on a ship. But you're missing one obvious thing. What is the most popular mode of transport? Cars. Every day 3.5 thousand people die on the roads around the world, this is -1.3 million victims of road accidents per year. Another 50 million inhabitants of the planet are injured and maimed in road accidents every year. Most often, people themselves are to blame for this, because 50% of accidents occur due to speeding. Every time you exceed the speed limit, remember that automakers calculate the safety of a car that is moving at a speed of 60 - 80 km/h. Plus, you need to take into account the age of the car, because every year due to loads, the environment, deformations, the metal becomes more plastic, and the car is less safe. Also, do not forget to fasten your seat belt, because if you do not fasten, then absolutely all the works of engineers who worked on the safety of your car are collapsing and even at a small speed you strive to get serious injuries. Fasten your seat belts and don't drive fast!
Many people in today's society face the problem of bullying. It means all kinds of abuse, humiliation, conflicts or fights where usually one person is weaker than the other. Recently, bullying has become one of the most common social problems in many communities, especially in educational centres and even in kindergartens.
As we know, there are three positions in this situation: the aggressor, the observer and the victim. In this essay we will talk about each of them.
The first position is the aggressor. Anyone can be an aggressor, be it a boy or a girl. Such people usually have a bad relationship with others. Most bullies don't care about other people's feelings. They behave this way either because they want attention or because they were brought up in a troubled family. The bully thinks he is always right, is always ready to attack and criticise other people, and despises weakness. His words are often different from his actions, he is not prepared to be honest and open and will always.
Bullying always happens in high school in places that are accessed by other students, for example, the bathroom, the parking lot or classrooms. the observer may also be affected indirectly by such action of witnessing how others are bulled. Although observer students may not take action against the bully due to fear of being the next target, observer students develop trauma and fear that they might be victims of the bullying sometime and this may affect their normal living as they will live in fear at school. That is why it is imperative for the school administration to favour the three parties when drafting new rules. Putting that into consideration will preventing the situation in time thus saving the child from becoming an emotional handicap in future.
A victim of bullying is a person who is bullied by the aggressor (mentally and/or physically). No one knows exactly why some people become victims of bullying, while others do not. It is only known that the victims of bullying most often cannot resist the aggressor, and if they can resist or begin to ignore, then after a while the aggressor stops his actions. But unfortunately many victims continue to be victims because of the inability to seek help (or people simply do not want to help deal with bullying).
In conclusion, if you know someone who is being bullied or you are being bullied in the company around you, try asking for help and know that bullying is very serious and, trust us, it is NOT normal.

Anna Goncharik: Personally, I believe that bullying is a cowardly act that is creates for power and control other people. Aggressor often attactes persons who looks as weak, and they use various tactics to hurt them. These tactics can range from physical hits to verbal abuse, cyberbullying, and social exclusion.Bullying can have serious meaning on the mental health and well-being of the victim. It can lead to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, in the worsest variant, to suicide.Despite the fact that bullying is not normal, it is exist in our society. Schools should have strict rules to destroy bullying. Parents should also teach their children how it is important to respecting others and standing up against bullies.
Traditionally, by intelligence we mean the ability to learn about things through the different sources: we look and see, listen and hear, smell and test, ask questions to try to find logical connections. How we perceive information better determines our intelligence. However, a theory developed in the early 1980s by Gardner Howard suggests that a person can have multiple intelligences. He first singled out seven intellects: visual-spatial (art and picture smart), logical-mathematical (number and logic smart), bodily-kinesthetic (body and movement smart), musical-rhythmic (music and sound smart), intrapersonal (self and introspection smart), interpersonal (group and people smart), verbal-linguistic (word and book smart). But then he added two more: naturalist (nature and environment smart) and existential (where we come from) intelligences.
This theory from the very beginning of its existence caused a wave of discontent. These critics argue that Gardner's definition of intelligence is too broad and that his nine different "intelligences" simply represent talents, personality traits, and abilities. Some express the opinion about the impossibility of the existence of combinations of nine intellects at once. You also need to take into account the fact that Gardner did not conduct a psychological experiment, but made a statement about this theory without practical evidence.
Despite all of the above, the theory of multiple intelligences has gained immense popularity and is widely used in education with some features: individualization, versatile learning, and the ability for comprehensive development. Also, according to theory, you have the opportunity to try yourself in various fields and choose what really suits you.

First and foremost, a home is defined by the people who inhabit it. It is the laughter of children echoing in the halls, the aroma of a home-cooked meal wafting from the kitchen, and the comforting presence of family and loved ones. The bonds forged within those walls give life to the house, infusing it with love and warmth.
Memories play an integral role in making a house a home. It's the recollection of birthdays celebrated in the living room, the mark on the wall tracking a child's growth, and the photographs adorning the walls that tell the story of a family's journey. These memories become an intrinsic part of the home's identity, weaving a tapestry of shared experiences.
Personalization is another key ingredient. A house is transformed into a home through the addition of personal touches and décor that reflect the inhabitants' tastes, interests, and personalities. Whether it's a cozy reading nook, a collection of cherished mementos, or artwork that speaks to the soul, these elements imbue the space with character and individuality.
Comfort and a sense of security are fundamental in making a house feel like home. The feeling of sinking into a well-loved armchair, the soothing embrace of a warm blanket, and the knowledge that you are sheltered from the storms of life all contribute to this sensation of safety and contentment.
A home is also about routine and familiarity. It's the creaking of a familiar floorboard, the sound of a favorite song playing in the background, and the anticipation of shared meals around the dining table. These routines create a rhythm to life that resonates deeply with the concept of "home."
Furthermore, the neighborhood and community in which a house is situated play a significant role. A sense of belonging extends beyond the front door to the streets and neighbors who become an extended family. Knowing the local store owner by name, exchanging friendly waves with neighbors, and participating in community events can foster a strong sense of home.
In conclusion, what makes a house a home is not just the physical structure but the emotional and experiential layers that envelop it. It's the love, memories, personalization, comfort, routine, and sense of community that together create a unique and cherished place where one truly belongs. A home is where the heart resides, and it is the culmination of life's most precious moments and connections, making it far more than just a house.

Liza Saharova: A house and a home are often used interchangeably, but they have different meanings. A house is simply a building, a physical space with walls and a roof. On the other hand, a home is where we feel comfortably, and secure. It is a place where memories are made and where we can truly be ourselves. So, what exactly makes a house a home? First and foremost, it is the people that transform it into a home. The love and support we find in our homes make it truly special. Furthermore, a home is filled with special features that reflects the uniqueness and personality of somewone who lives there. Whether it's photographs, posters or some memenros from travel . A home reflects the tastes, interests, and passions of its owners, making it a place that is truly their own. Comfort is also a crucial element in making a house a home. It is a cozy couch where we can drink a cup of tea with a book, soft blankets that keep us warm on evening, and the inviting bedroom. Comfort is not only physical but also emotional . It is a space where we can find relaxation. Lastly, the atmosphere and emotions of our homes make them special. These elements create an atmosphere that makes us feel warmth, happiness, and give up a sense of welcoming. In conclusion, what makes a house a home. It is the love, relationships, comfort, security, and atmosphere that transform a house into a place where we feel at home. It is where we create lifelong memories. A home is a reflection of who we are and , making it unique in our lives.
Katya: Every house has the potential to become a home. To us, a house is a home that includes the pieces of community, family, memories, culture, and laughter. A home is a place where people help each other to overcome anxieties, find solace during difficult times, and celebrate achievements together. It is a space where everyone can experience a sense of safety, happiness, relaxation, and comfort.
It is where the soul is.My house is similar to many other homes. A physical structure with a roof, front door and windows, parents, siblings and a furry pet. What I appreciate about home is that it is a personal haven where I can momentarily escape from reality. My home isn't a structure that shelters me and that I live in, my home is always with me no matter what. The excitement I feel when returning back to my home after a whole day of stydy is undescribable because it's where I get relaxed mentally and psychically. When I walk around and just look, I can feel the memories resonating from the walls. Home is the influence that transforms children into capable young adults. A place that protected and molded me into a person capable of stepping into the world. Every corner of the house holds emotions and sentiments from various stages of life. Walking in reminds me of all those times I have came back from walking. The living room reminds me of all my friends and family. After leaving home for long periods of time, I noticed that I always missed two things, returning home and conversing with my brother to catch up what happened during the day, saying good night to my parents and then crawling into my bed.
A house becomes a home when the smell is familiar, there are pictures of memories along the walls, and when the people you love fill it. I've moved from house to house several times, and I've felt "home" in every single one. I also feel "home" at my grandparent's houses. For me, a home is a feeling of comfort that is brought up when you are surrounded by those you love and care about
Home is definitely a lot more than just a roof, four walls, windows and a door. Home is where we learn the first lessons in life. Home is the symbol of human togetherness — a place where all of us learn the first steps of life. No matter how far and how long I’m travelling, there’s always something special about coming home. ‘East or West, home is the best’ as the saying goes.
And What’s home for you?
