Holiday helping hands
Students from Palisades High and Paul Revere Middle School wrote heartfelt holiday cards to the teens at Maryvale.
The holidays are a special time for every family. While many of us spend the holiday season surrounded with our loved ones, many youth of the LA foster system are not with their biological parents and often have come from a home where there are no holidays to celebrate. As the holiday season approaches, these times can be extremely difficult for foster children. One small action we can do as a community can alleviate the loneliness those face every year immensely. The LAKFC team has organized an annual event to share the love and joy we all feel during this time of year called Holiday Helping Hands. This donation drive asks for specific things on the wishlists of those in foster homes and group homesto bring the community together and make their Christmas a little less lonely.
