Davina Yashar

Hello! My name is Davina Yashar and I am a founding member and Co-president of LA Kids For Change. Learning about the hardships and obstacles that foster youth face in Los Angeles as well as the lack of public knowledge about these challenges is why I felt that change needed to occur. These circumstances that foster youth endure are out of their control and can cause years of trauma and mental health issues. Although us as teenagers are not able to become foster parents just yet, there are still ways for us to make change.

As Co-President, my main role is to oversee the events, meetings, and initiatives as well as help build a community that is determined to provide support to foster children in Los Angeles.
