Lakewood High School
The Lakewood Instrumental Music Program is comprised of two bands, three orchestras, jazz band, percussion class, marching band (Bengal Regiment), winter guard, winter percussion, and pit orchestra. With over 240 students enrolled in classes, the band and orchestra program is one of the largest organizations at Lakewood High School. Lakewood ensembles have a history of excellence. The Wind Ensemble has been selected to perform ten of the last twelve years at the CBA state concert band festival, and the Bengal Regiment has been a 14-time CBA state finalist. The Lakewood Chamber Orchestra was selected to perform at the 2007, 2011, 2014, and 2018 Colorado Music Educators Association (CMEA) Conferences, and the Lakewood Wind Ensemble was selected to perform in 2013.
The instrumental music program has a very active parent booster organization, Lakewood Performing Arts Council (LPAC), that aids with every facet of the program.
