Good Afternoon Lake View Estates Residents,
No news is GOOD news! Have a great day; please let the Board know if there is an issue needing our attention.
Good Afternoon LVE Residents,
We just had this come in from one of our residents. Please be on the lookout for people matching this description and the vehicle description. If you see them or their vehicle, please contact the police department.
Will you please get this out for me. I live at 9345 Lakeview Drive and over the past couple of weeks my new neighbors and myself have noticed cigarette butts and candy wrappers in our backyards and between our houses. Last week, my dog kept going to the front door, we were up late, around midnight and there was a tall thin man, grey or blonde hair standing between our houses. By the time he got out there the guy took off toward the golf course and down towards the club house. It looked like he took off in a red Chevy truck approx 1998 or so. Last night around 10 to 10:30 we saw a guy, same height and build only he had what appeared to be a short slender woman in a baseball cap with him. This time they were between the neighbors house and the abandoned house and again took off toward the club house. Tonight about the same time my neighbors heard it and let their dog out who immediately started barking in that direction.
Thanks So Much
Dear Neighbors
Some years ago, we established a Neighborhood Watch program in partnership with the Foley Police. We would like to update this program. Neighborhood Watch was created to obtain citizen involvement in discouraging and preventing residential crimes and creating a channel of communication. The program uses citizen involvement to secure their own home and personal property and to report any suspicious activity to the police. Vigilante actions are in no way condoned by the program. No one will be asked to take personal risks. Neighborhood Watch is a way of communicating information to neighbors. All communication will come from one source, Lakeview Estates POA communications expert, Ann Bacher.
Activities in the past that have occurred in our neighborhoods are thefts of unlocked cars or back entrance to houses. Be sure to lock all cars and house entrances. If you are going to leave town the Police offer a wonderful service. They will come by and check on your house daily. However, to secure this service you will have to visit the police station and fill out a form. It is also a good idea to inform neighbors when you are gone so they may keep an eye on your property.
Closed Circuit Television Systems, also known as CCTV systems or security video systems are an excellent way to document criminal activity. They are also useful in deterring criminal activity. Historically, the most common use for CCTV in GlenLakes has been for nighttime criminal activity. Most CCTV systems do a poor job at night. CCTV manufacturers add infrared lights to cameras and call them low light cameras when in fact they are not. Mike Willis has already bought all the wrong cameras, so he knows what to avoid. He can help you in selecting genuine low light cameras. If you want to install a CCTV system, he will help you on a volunteer basis. You can contact him at mike.willis@runbox.com or (251)955-2469.
This is how the Neighborhood Watch will work: If you see something suspicious, the first thing you do is call the police either 911 or non-emergency number which is 251-943-4431. Then report it to your contact person. List of contact persons below. Your contact person will then report it to Jan Taylor who will take the necessary steps for preparing the communication and getting it to Ann Bacher to send out. We would like to thank the City of Foley Police Department for their assistance with the Neighborhood Watch Program, and welcome Officer Tommie Perdue as our new Neighborhood Watch contact.
Your neighborhood contact person is based on your location (what neighborhood) and your street address. Neighborhood Watch contact persons are:
