Lakeshore North is proud of our community outdoor ice rinks!
Both Cornerbrook Park in the south-west corner of the neighbourhood and Pinebrook Park in the centre of the neighbourhood have active community rinks. Everyone is welcome to use the ice rinks.
Every year a group of dedicated volunteers flood the pavement on the tennis court and adjacent basketball court in Pinebrook Park to create a large outdoor ice rink. And another smaller rink is installed adjacent to the playground at Cornerbrook Park. The rinks are typically flooded in late December, or when it's cold enough. Many volunteers work hard to flood and maintain the rinks in good condition, as long as the weather cooperates!
