A NICA team uses mountain bikes as the foundation for a unique experiential learning opportunity.
Student athletes learn bike handling skills, navigation, route building, and basic bike maintenance in a fun and supportive environment.
The team will practice 2 times a week from December to May and athletes may optionally participate in league races starting in February.
Practices are held at Loyce E Harpe park in Mulberry. It is also known locally as Carter Rd. Our central meeting area is directly to the right of the large pavilion as you enter the park. We start with skills and warm-up in the large grassy area.
We are lucky to have such a RAD trail system right here in Lakeland. Occasionally, we may practice at Alafia or Balm Boyette.
