2022 Indigenous Mapping Workshop Case Study for Google My Maps and Google Earth Engine

In this case study we will look at publicly available databases and map layers that can be used on the free My Maps and Earth Engine platforms to help us understand how fires have impacted areas affected by climate change. We will use Lake County, California as our example; 60% of the land mass in Lake County has burned Since 2015. We will investigate how maps can help further the community's understanding of the impacts and plan for adapting to the changing conditions.
