Lake California Drive is not safe! It's too narrow and has no shoulders. The trees need to be removed. The road needs to be widened and repaved. It's not wide enough for school buses or any large vehicle. Also, in case of an emergency the road will be a disaster. We also want the end of LC Dr. to be widened to improve the flow of traffic.
Fire! This is the Camp Fire. We are terrified that a fire will happen in Lake California and we will not be able to escape. It is unacceptable that there is no other exit for over 4000 people. We must have a second exit no matter what it takes.
This school bus was full of children. They escaped the bus and got into another one to escape.
To save ourselves from Paradise's fate.
They had 4 exits and many people didn't make it out.

The snow trapped us - a huge wake up call about the desperate need for another way out.
We need the trees removed that are along the side of the road. This tree that fell during the snow storm could have easily fallen into the road. It has a shallow root base as do many of the other trees that line the very narrow road.
Evacuations ordered. If Lake California is ever ordered to evacuate, how will we do it with one exit. When fires come, people are ordered to evacuate. Many people during the Carr Fire couldn't get out.
