Superintendent Brad Mendenhall of Evergreen School District, presented.
The LC TSE Held its first of many Community Meeting to inform Lake California residents about all the verified information we have discovered. Approximately 56 people attended, including Superintendent Brad Mendenhall, and two POA Board members, Rob Thomas and Don Coon. During the two hour meeting, team members presented about Tehama County District 3, Regional Transportation Plan, FireWise Community, and the dire need for a reconstructed main road and a second exit. New letters were provided to be signed and sent to Dennis Garton and the Transportation Commission.
Mr. Mendenhall presented information about his efforts to improve all roads in the school district and he supports our cause. He told us that we needed to be in it for the long hall as Tehama County is one of the poorest in the state. We will have to push hard for county, state, and federal support to make it happen. He also mentioned that the Evergreen School District is holding a meeting with the County on April 30 at Evergreen Middle School from 6-8pm. Mr. Mendenhall encouraged Lake California residents to attend the meeting and speak.
