Introduction of School
The school implements a K to 12 basic education curriculum that offers junior and senior high school. It is under the resolution ordered by the Department of Education (DepEd). It has Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) track specializes in the Home Economic strand and Industrial Arts strand which equips the students with technical skills for its senior high school program.
Through the years, LDHS has a lot of winnings and recognitions in the district, division, the regional and national level which led them to known as one of the top-performing and competitive schools in Manila
Lakan Dula High School (LDHS) is a public educational institution located in Tondo, Manila. It became independent from Florentino Torres High School as one of the annexes in 1962 and named after Lakan Dula, Manila’s last chieftain (lakan) before it was totally subjugated by the Spanish colonizers. The school provides quality, fair, culture-based and complete basic education to produce graduates who are intellectually and technologically competent.

MANDATE
Lakan Dula High School was used to be the extension of F. Torres High School
until through the Executive Order 8. Series of 1962 signed by Antonio J. Villegas,
City Mayor of Manila, transforming Lakan Dula High School
as independent from F. Torres High School.
Special Service of the School
School canteens that are well-designed encourage student development and learning. They provide proper nourishment, which gives students and staff greater energy and helps to prevent disorders like obesity and anemia, which are linked to bad diet.
The School Clinic is a place within the school campus wherein primary care is rendered to a sick patient – First Aid and initial nursing assessments are given during emergent situation.
