Grandmaster Ta Dee San Aye (22 / 9 / 1930- 23 / 8 / 2021)
Grandmaster U Ta Dee San Aye, a Ta’ang (Palaung) Lai Moon martial arts master, studied under the thirteen great Northern Shan Khue Lineage masters, namely:
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Thakain
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Swai Ngin
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Swai Kham
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Swai Sai
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Ka Kham
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Ngo Ho Kha
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Ngo Ho Khaw
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Aw
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Kay La Tha
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Paw Naw Min
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Paw Gain
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Aw Tis
Khue Lineage Grandmaster Maung A
He studied and trained under these thirteen Khue lineage masters for over thirty years, during which time he formally received the Khue lineage transmission.
Grandmaster U Ta Dee San Aye also conducted research on the knowledge and disciplines he received from these thirteen masters, including both practical techniques and advanced martial principles. His research followed the ancient Shan saying, “In-nit-shit-saung, In-tai-shit-it,” applying traditional methods of study and understanding.
Through this process, he came to fully understand the ten core of Shan martial art systems, which he then preserved, shared, taught, and passed on to subsequent generations. These ten major martial traditions gained widespread recognition and respect throughout the upland and mountainous regions.
