Known as the southernmost city on the planet and blessed with stunning geography that unfolds majestically along the Beagle Channel, Ushuaia has established itself as a world-renowned tourist destination. However, this excursion proposes to venture away from the well-trodden paths and immerse ourselves in the wild nature of Tierra del Fuego, where its greatness can still be appreciated in all its splendor.
We will traverse vast glacial valleys and cross the mountain range from south to north, in search of a hidden path in the forest that will lead us on a not very difficult hike to a lookout point. From there, we will be able to admire in all its magnitude the lands that only 150 years ago were inhabited solely by the Selk'nam people, the original inhabitants of this place. While we delight in the beauty of the landscape, we will share the history of this people, their customs, and the impact that the arrival of the white man had on their lives.
After the hike, we will continue north in a 4x4 vehicle, venturing into a wooded path in search of a magical place we have discovered near the coast of Lake Fagnano. There, in an exclusive refuge secluded from civilization but close to nature, we will light a fire just as the Selk'nam used to do. We will replicate an ancestral ritual that will connect us with the simplicity of observing the dancing flames while listening to the whispers of the lake waves crashing against the shore.
The evening will continue with a traditional Argentine barbecue dinner, illuminated by the last rays of the sunset, and enjoying a warm and relaxed atmosphere. This experience will transport us to a place where the greatness of nature and the richness of culture intertwine harmoniously. Tierra del Fuego is a destination that goes beyond the known and invites us to be captivated by its charm.
