It is also a helpful resource that you can provide your teachers with to identify your interests and personalize your recommendation letters.

High school Information: HS Name, Years of Attendance, Grade Point Average, Class Rank, Standardized Test Scores
Challenging academic coursework including, but not limited to: Advanced Placement courses, College Now Courses, Pre-College Courses, Honors Classes
Academic awards Honors and achievements
Extracurricular Activities including, but not limited to: Sports, Academic Enrichment Programs, Clubs and Organizations
Community/ Volunteer Services
Special Skills including, but not limited to: Foreign Language proficiency, Programming skills, Software knowledge proficiency

- List the activities that you consider the most brag-worthy and most representative of you as a candidate.
- Rule of thumb: Keep your resume one page.
- Focus of depth and length of commitment over quantity of activities.
- Provide detail whenever including, but not limited to:
- your role, emphasizing leadership roles
- school years/hours per week you participated
- specific contributions
- list activities by importance of activity, or by time commitment
- Formatting is key.
- Divide information into sections with clear headings, bulleted lists, and a consistent font.
- Don't forget to proofread!
- Be honest and accurate. Admissions representatives wont hesitate to call your counselor to verify information that doesnt seem right.
