Certification in College Teaching
What is the Certification in College Teaching
The University Graduate Certification in College Teaching (CCT), an initiative of the Michigan State University Graduate School in partnership with MSU colleges, helps graduate students and postdocs organize, develop, and document their teaching experiences. Through professional development activities - workshops or seminars, coursework in disciplinary teaching methods, a mentored teaching project - participants will build and consolidate their preparation for college and university teaching. The program culminates in an e-portfolio that will help participants prepare for academic job interviews and plan for their professional development as early career faculty.
Colleges’ Online Learning Academy (COLA) program - Summer 2025 cohort
What is the Colleges’ Online Learning Academy (COLA) program
The Colleges’ Online Learning Academy (COLA) program is an online summer fellowship that allows graduate students to deeply engage with digital teaching and learning in their work. The fellowship provides opportunities for networking, mentorship, deep dives into teaching subjects of your interest, and peer review and reflection on teaching practice. The fellowship is facilitated by MSU’s Evidence-Driven Learning Innovation Center (EDLI). It consists of a series of virtual workshops, creation of deliverables around your own teaching and learning practice, and review of those deliverables from peers and a teaching mentor. Program goals include fostering deep engagement with teaching practice, accomplishing some requirements for the CCT program, developing a skillset in a sub-area of digital teaching and learning practice, collaborating with colleagues to evaluate teaching & learning materials, and reflecting on 21st-century teaching and learning practices.

Short videos
In this section, I included a few videos that I originally posted on my personal social media. My original main goal was to record myself to improve my teaching, and I picked some short clips from those recordings to share. I wanted to show the positive vibe and energy I always try to keep up in my classes!
