Michigan State University
I'm a Ph.D. candidate in French and Francophone Studies with an interdisciplinary concentration in Second Language Studies at Michigan State University (MSU).
I hold a Maîtrise in Language Didactics from the Université of Angers, and I earned my Master's degree in Language Didactics at the Université of Le Mans.
Previous diplomas included the DAEFLE (Diplôme d'Aptitude à l'Enseignement du Français Langue Étrangère – Alliance Française) and 2 DITALS certificates (Certificazione di Competenza in Didattica dell’Italiano a Stranieri – International University for foreigners of Siena).
I taught French and Italian at beginner and intermediate levels in different contexts for several years.
In my personal time, I usually love to read French crime novels or watch legal drama, medical or fantastic series or Marvel and DC Comics films. Another important part of my personal life is balancing my professional goals with my athletic journey in Olympic Weightlifting. Practicing this discipline requires intense concentration and is physically highly demanding, which makes it especially challenging given the significant intellectual effort completing my PhD program already requires. However, it empowers me both as a person and as a representation of strong women. I’m also a former competitive late-swimmer athlete and ex-CrossFit addict. Other sports from my youth include Karate, gymnastics, and horse riding, so sport is a big part of my life and mental well-being. I used to go out for walks in the beautiful Apulian countryside and now in the gorgeous Michigan parks!
