Introduction to Dance
Introduction to Dance
Offered during Session 1 only
Does your child love to dance? Do you want them to develop rhythm while also having fun? This course will introduce students to ballet, pom, and hip hop dance. Aside from learning technique, dancers will also learn musicality and creativity through dance. There will be activities that keep the students engaged and excited to keep moving! On the last day of the course, students will show off their moves with a recital for friends and family.

NEW this year, we will divide up by age and experience. If your student has already taken Introduction to Dance in past years and wants a challenge, no worries! We will help you build and improve on technique you have already learned.

This is a scaffolding math class for grades 1-5. In this class we look at what we know, what we need to brush up on, and what we need to know to be successful going into the next grade-level. Each class begins with a quick review of previous skills and then we move onto the next skill that we need to know. This is a very student-focused class; we work on exactly what the particular students in the class need to work on.

Watercolor Painting and Pencils
Watercolor Painting and Pencils

This class is designed to inspire each child's creativity while learning the techniques of watercolor and tempera paints and resists. Students will learn to use tempera paints, watercolor paints and pencils, using techniques such as color mixing, resist, masking, stamping, etc. We will talk about the color wheel, experiment with printmaking, and more!

This is a course for students with no prior piano experience and students do not need to have a piano at home! We will learn the fundamentals of piano keyboarding. In addition, they will participate in games and activities that will reinforce rhythmic independence, note-reading, and basic musical knowledge.

This course provides a hands-on opportunity for children to explore new foods, learn real life culinary skills, and become more aware of nutrition. Students will also be invited to express their creativity through fun art activities which build on the food theme of the day and storybooks.
