Such were the sights, plants and birds to enjoy 6 walkers achieved the remarkable pace of about 1km an hour through the generally pretty dense shrub layer.
Peas of various shades of yellow were the dominant plants in flower especially the larger all over yellow Gompholobium huegelii pale wedge pea
Dillwynia sericea, showy bush pea and Pultenaea cinarescens were deeper shades
And in patches through the bush purple Dampiera, finger flowers Cheiranthera linearis and the iris Patersonia sericea
Trigger plants provided a pink contrast
Special highlight was the little duck orchid Caleana minor
