LIVE (Lipidome of Extracellular Vesicles in hypoxic pancreatic cancer) is a research project focused on characterizing the lipid composition of extracellular vesicles (EVs) secreted by pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cells under hypoxic conditions. Using untargeted lipidomics, the study aims to identify lipid species enriched in tumor-derived EVs that may play roles in membrane dynamics, cell signaling, and tumor microenvironment modulation. The goal of LIVE is to uncover lipid-based molecular signatures with potential value as diagnostic biomarkers for early PDAC detection and to better understand how EV lipids contribute to cancer progression under hypoxia.
