Toshihiro Tokiwa DVM, PhD
My research focuses on parasites infecting a wide range of host taxa, from ants to elephants. I investigate parasite diversity through the description of new species and taxa, as well as the epidemiology and diagnostics of zoonotic nematodes. In addition, I study parasites of native and exotic animals in Japan to assess their ecological and public health risks. If you are interested in our research, please feel free to contact me.

About the Laboratory
The Laboratory of Veterinary Parasitology at Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University, located in Musashino, Tokyo, is one of the oldest laboratories dedicated to veterinary parasitology in Japan. Since its establishment, the laboratory has contributed to research and education in parasitology across a wide range of animal hosts.
