On March 12, 2026, our lab members gathered at the Flying Pan restaurant in Sungsimdang to celebrate a farewell dinner for Dr. Ha Thi Nga. We wish her great success and fulfillment in the next chapter of her academic journey.
On March 28, 2026, at the sarcopenia conference, PhD candidate Alfin Mohammad Abdillah was selected for an oral presentation and received the Best Oral Presentation Award. Professor Hyon-Seung Yi participated as a speaker and presented on sarcopenia in chronic kidney disease.
April 7. I had the opportunity to give a lecture and discuss potential collaborative research at Zhejiang University Hospital. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Professor Xie Haiyang for the kind invitation, and also to Professor Song Penghong for the enjoyable time we shared together. It was my first visit to Hangzhou, and I was deeply impressed by its beautiful natural scenery, outstanding cuisine, and excellent academic environment.
On April 16–17, I was invited to give a lecture at the Translational Frontiers in Aging Biology Symposium held at The Shilla Seoul. It was a closed meeting where most speakers presented unpublished data. This symposium provided a valuable opportunity to introduce our research and receive constructive feedback from leading researchers in the field.
During the European Congress of Endocrinology held in Prague, Czech Republic, from May 8–12, Prof. Hyon-Seung Yi delivered a presentation entitled “Role of Gamma Delta T Cells in Thyroid Hormone Excess.” After the presentation, he had the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with two Korean professors (Prof. Suh and Prof. Kim) and the endocrinologists from National Taiwan University over dinner. I would like to express his sincere gratitude to Dr. Chia-Hung Lin from the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, National Taiwan University College of Medicine, for kindly hosting the dinner.
On 13 May, I had the pleasure of giving a seminar at the University of Oxford Botnar Research Centre at the kind invitation of Udo Oppermann. I truly enjoyed the lab tour and the wonderful lunch with colleagues at a Greek restaurant. Thank you very much, Prof. Udo Oppermann, for your warm hospitality and generous invitation.
In the evening, thanks to Haram Park, I had a very special experience visiting Magdalen College, followed by dinner and dessert at a beautiful college dining hall. Thank you so much, Dr. Park, for your kindness and thoughtful hospitality.
