Thank you for coming to visit LA SMILES! I figure you should learn a little about me as well!
About Jen:
Jen has been performing on stage since she can remember. Thankfully, her parents put her in a preschool that did a "performance" for pretty much every holiday that appeared on the calendar.Â
Her first professional paid job was as a singer in the Country music show at Six Flags America in Washington, DC. As far as theme parks go, she has been a seasonal or full-time performer at Six Flags America, Six Flags Magic Mountain (SoCal), Paramounts Kings Dominion (VA, now owned by Cedar Fair), Legoland (CA), Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm (5 yrs, including a several year run as Cameo Kate), and Universal Studios Hollywood (day ops entertainment and Halloween). As a variety artist, she has also spent 3 years performing as Max in the Goofy Movie pre-show at the El Capitan Theater, and currently, as of winter 2025, is performing as Judy Hopps in the Zootopia 2 pre-show. She even did a brief stint hanging out with her pals Bluey and Bingo at the Bluey experience in LA.
Recent stage roles have included Sandy in Grease (VOPA), Laurey in Oklahoma (VOPA), Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof (VOPA), Frozen the Musical (Queen Iduna, West Coast premier), The Sound of Music (Sister Sophia, California Theater), The Sound of Music (Musical Theatre West), Jekyll and Hyde (P3 Theatre). Other favorite credits include the international Broadway tour of The Sound of Music, the US national tour of Laura Ingalls Wilder (as Laura), Jekyll and Hyde (Emma Carew), Parade (Mary Phagan, Regional Premier), Godspell ("Bless the Lord"), and more. She also performed on the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship in the award winning cast and show Disney Dreams as Anne Marie and Toy Story the Musical as Andy. Jen has also performed in operas, including Viardot's Cendrillion as Cendrillon, and Die Fledermaus as Adele.
Jen also performs in films, television shows, and commercials (though she admits that her 10yr old is far more successful in this arena, so she won't deign to compare to his successes here in this bio section).
In winter of 2019, Jen founded Storybook Children's Theater and produced her first TYA show, How I Saved Hanukkah. During the shutdowns, she rebranded as Storybook Family Playhouse, with the goal of putting books on stage to encourage children to not only see live theater, but to read the books her shows are based off of. She has since produced The Biggest Little House in the Forest, and Dear Mrs. Claus. This January 2026, SFP is producing Maddi's Fridge at the Broadwater Theater. SFP also performs at libraries, preschools, and senior centers.
During the holiday season, Jen is very busy entertaining crowds and doling out hugs as Mrs. Claus at venues throughout Los Angeles.
In 2023, after a busy caroling season, Jen was inspired to start performing for senior residences, and attended several showcases, where she received great success, booking over 30 performances each year from the showcases alone. However, Jen is looking forward to performing "closer" to home by booking at more venues in the LA area. She finds great joy in not only singing her favorite songs, but in watching and hearing folks enjoy the music with her.
