Hello, my name is Lydia Anderson! Welcome to my Occupational Therapy Assistant portfolio! I am current a student in the Occupational Therapy Assitant program at Salt Lake Community College. Throughout my course work and clincial field work, I have developed a strong foundation and love for the field of occupational therapy. This portfolio serves as a reflection of my journey as a OTA student, showing the skills, knowledge and experiences, I have gained during my studies. I have learned that as an occupational therapy practitioner, I will get to help others regain important daily life skills. This will be important do those who I help, get back to doing functional, meaningful activities.

I will graduate in May of 2026 as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Ever since I was a junior in high school, I have had the goal of becoming an OTA. I have had many opportunities since then to shadow and work in OT settings. This has helped me become more excited about becoming an occupational therapy practitioner. I look forward in achieving this long-time career goal and am looking into working in a school system or a pediatric clinic as an OTA.  

When I am not studying or at school, I am hanging out with my friends, family, being outdoors or taking photos. I have grown to love photography over the past couple of years and currently own a portrait and family photography business. On top of my photography business, I work part time at an autism therapy place in ABA therapy as a Registered Behavior technician.
