The visual impairment that I had was tunnel vision. My experience as a person with a visual impairment seems to be a lot hard then it seemed. Some challenges I encountered were reading a book, accessing a paper towel after washing my hands, as well as going down the stairs. The thing that surprised me the most was how much the lighting affected my vision. When walking into the library that was bright, it hurt my eyes and made it almost harder to see the isles and books. This goes the same for the stairs. When going down the stairs, there was not that much light, and the texture of the floor made it super difficult to see and walk down. 

As a guide for a person with a visual impairment, it was also a lot harder than I thought it would be. It made it hard because in order for Danica to see, I needed to be standing in front of her to point and to guide her to where we were needing to go. Danica was only able to see in front of her and not the sides. Because of this, sometimes I would need to warn about signs or poles that could possibly be a hazard to tripping or hitting. However, it was easy when Danica needed to type because she was able to see enough of the screen and keyboard good enough in order to type independently. If I were to do this activity again, I think I would walk more in front to help and to have a better guidance.
