Title And Summary Of Programme here - Picture Frame to the left
17/10/23
During this Tutorial Lesson, we listened to Tom, Leo and Mason's presentation about individual liberty. They spoke about how people should be able to feel comfortable in their own skin, being able to express themselves in any way they want, without being discriminated against. This was extremely effective as they went into a lot of depth about the different aspects, ranging from: Being able to make people feel comfortable, how Homosexuality is handled as a society and what we can try and do to push this forward. After the presentation, we spoke quite heavily about how the entire world views Individual Liberty, for example, there are many countries that have laws in place relating to same sex marriage, arranged marriages and how they respect people who are different to them. We spoke about how, as a society, we should be able to feel free no matter who or what we are. The concept of "World Laws" was presented by me, but I soon realised that's a bad idea due to society's changing, and something that is legal now, could be heavily looked down on in the future, or vise versa. The final question was how the world will change in our life time, and we realised, every year an entirely new generation will be able to vote, and eventually, our generation will be in charge of the world, thus it could positively affect our society, as people of our age have very strong views about how people can be different from one another.
24/10/23
During this Tutorial Lesson, we listened to Kady's presentation about Mutual Respect, and she didn't cry, and she was nervous so I'm very proud of her for that. After the presentation, we had a conversation about how we can control our emotions, so during arguments, we don't upset or hurt people. We spoke about Chimp Brain, which is the theory that we sometimes devolve back into a more primative state, during arguments, so we fight, flight or freeze. This affects how we respect people as we can end up hurting people accidentally.
TIE Performance
This performance is based around the idea that whatever you share online or post to a social media platform is permanent and cannot be undone. The target audience for this performance would be 15-19 year-olds, however could be adapted to fit a 13-15 audience if certain aspects were removed or worded differently - such as not going into as much detail and focusing more about how once something is posted or shared online, it will be somewhere within digital platforms forever, as opposed to the more severe dangerous of the online world. The performance is about a teenage girl who feels pressured into sending a picture of herself with no clothes on to her boyfriend - for younger teenage audiences this can be changed to her sending pictures in her underwear. This would be represented by the character walking behind a large cloth background and taking a picture with the flash on her
21/11/23 - Democracy Presentation
In this presentation, we listened to Dianna and Dylan, which consisted of valid points related to how our country benefits quite frankly from democratic votes, and this can lead into our country always having what the majority of the population wants. They also brought up how the idea isn't particularly perfect, as it still leaves a large part of the population not liking the change. This led into a discussion about communism, and about how every system can sound good on paper, but actually be horrendous in practice, so Democracy is the lesser of the evils, as at least some people get there voices heard.
5/12/23 - Rule of Law Presentation
This week was Jade's, Anna's and Caitlinn's presentation going over the Rule of Law. This presentation, while trying to be informative, came off rushed, and gave little information about actual laws, and laws relating to the performing arts. This led into a discussion relating to how it could possibly link into the performing arts, where we spoke about: Safeguarding, Risk-Assessments, Health and Safety, Copyright, Finance and Taxes (dont like em) and Unions.
