1). Verbs used for upward movement:
To rise, to increase, to grow, to climb, to get better, to improve.
N.B. the two last verbs are used only for positive situations.
Examples:

-the UK inflation rate has climbed to 3%.
2). Verbs used for downward movement:
To fall, to decrease, to decline, to drop, to get down (worse), to deteriorate.
Examples:
-Travel agents are expecting a 4% fall in prices.
-CBA profits decreased from… to …. as sales continued to deteriorate.
3). Adjectives and adverbs used to describe rate of change (the quantity and speed of change):
a).Large changes: considerable, considerably, dramatic, dramatically, sharp, sharply, significant, significantly, substantial, substantially.
b).Fast changes: abrupt, abruptly, quick, quickly, rapid, rapidly, sudden, suddenly
c). Small changes: moderate, moderately, slight, slightly
d).Slow changes: slow, slowly
e).Regular changes: gradual, gradually, steady, steadily.
4).High points, low points, and staying the same
a).to reach the highest point and then go down:
to peak, to reach a peak , to reach a maximum, to top out
b). to reach the lowest point and then rise:
to hit bottom, to reach a low point, to bottom out
c).to stay at the same level on the graph or chart:
to remain stable, to stabilize, to remain constant, to level off
d). To go up and down continuously:
to fluctuate
