Google Translate and other machine translation platforms can be a source of strife and confusion in the language learning classroom. Many instructors wonder if and how to handle these platforms with their students. 


This site showcases broad instructional strategies for how to navigate machine translation and related online tools in the second language classroom. These instructional strategies stem from a research project that documented how second language learners use machine translation tools. 


The project was sponsored by the Center for Educational Resources in Culture, Language and Literacy (CERCLL) at the University of Arizona.
