The human race faces difficult challenges from wrathful gods, hideous monsters, and destructive otherworldly forces, but will it rise above them or will it retaliate against itself? Throughout the course, we will examine the foundations of world mythology, monsters, dystopias, and their impact on Western civilization, and the ways in which these effects have evolved into humanity's greatest fear - ourselves.
