About Me

I am originally from Ohio, but moved to Colorado at around the age of 10. I enjoy being active and playing sports like soccer and basketball. I also enjoy watching sports and is the main reason I am majoring in Sports Journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. My love for sports is unmatched and is at the center of my everyday life.

  Through my time at ASU, I hope to narrow down the avenue of journalism I would like to go into after graduation from ASU. Within my first three years at ASU, I have also obtained a lot of information that'll help me within my career and has created the groundwork for my future years at ASU.

  At this early stage in my career my interests are leaning towards the digital and editing side of journalism based upon projects and assignments I have completed within class and by myself or working within Public Relations. However, I do believe I am at an early stage in my career and a lot can change from now and until I graduate and is why I am looking forward to every aspect of journalism and look to become more educated and experienced within the field of journalism these upcoming years while I study at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Everyone dreams to one day make it to a top tier company like ESPN or Bleacher Report in the sports journalism field, and I would be lying if I said I wouldn't one day want to be at a location like that. I know it will take a lot of work and not every journalist can work at a company like ESPN or Bleacher Report, however, I would like to make a name for myself as a reliable journalist known for his detail to facts and information and that can always be associated with being a trusted source. 

While looking through my portfolio you will be able see a variety of different pieces I completed throughout my time at ASU. Within some of these projects it was my first time or one of my first times using several different tools and resources. As I grew throughout the years I was able to become a better photographer and editor through different Adobe platforms. Mainly I focused upon Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition. I hope through my work you can see the improvement and better quality within my photography and editing through different ways to produce media such as: infographics; photos; podcasts; videos; and live tweeting events.
