Hello class! I'm Mr. DeMarco Long and I will be your 5th grade Social Studies teacher here at KYD Academy! My ultimate goal is to ensure that your child gains the knowledge of what the world was like thousands upon millions of years ago.

About me

I was born in Memphis, TN and lived in Forrest City, AR until I transferred to Valley View in Jonesboro, AR in 2012. I proceeded to graduate in 2017 and went on to get my EMT Certificate in 2018 from Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute.

I graduated from East Arkansas Community College with my Associate's degree in Mid-level Education and a secondary degree in Social Science.

I have two dogs named Po and Rubie.

I have always been fascinated with the subject of history from a very young age ranging from military history to world history.
