Unlike a trainer or instructor who works with a student to train or teach them a specific skill, a coach supports the efforts you are making in other areas to help you succeed and excel at your job. The Market Center provides a lot of the learning opportunities to the Broker. These include specific training sessions with the coach, as well as online live or recorded classes and instruction at other venues, such as the NWMLS or the SKCAR.
"A coach works WITH your plan and helps hold you accountable."
A coach's primary goal is to help you develop a plan, a schedule and goals and supports you with accountability and directing you to resources you may benefit from. If you do not follow your plan and schedule and hold yourself accountable to your activities and milestones, your coach cannot help you.
It’s YOUR job to do the following:
Complete a business/lead generation plan.
Create a weekly schedule for my business.
Show up and do the work in your plan and your homework.
Follow your plan and schedule.
Stay on track to your goals.
Report your activities accurately and honestly.
Accept responsibility for actions and be held accountable by your coach.
Ask for help when you need it.
Be open to discuss your challenges with your coach.
Make adjustments to your plan as necessary.
Be learning based. Learn something new each week.
Commit to the following number of hours per week on my real estate business. _______
“Brokers fail in this business because they don’t do the “job” described above. The job is a simple one to learn and to do, it still takes a lot of work and a lot of energy to stay on tasks and keep moving forward. On the other hand, everyone has the ability to do it and make good money. Let that person be YOU!”
In the section above we give you an overview of our Market Center's plan and philosophy regarding coaching. A thumbnail sketch of the program is as follows:
You first meet with Productivity Coach after meeting with MCA (Will) and ASC (Sierra). All tasks associated with those meetings should be completed by you. You will get an email after your ASC meeting describing the items and your meeting. If you have not completed them, you should call the PC to see if rescheduling is needed.
The agenda for the first meeting is as follows:
Review of Questionnaire and Discussion about the program
Broker needs assessment and preparation of you business and lead generation plan.
Create a workable daily activity plan and weekly schedule with your coach.
Review homework assignment for first week and resources needed to complete set one on one for week 2.
Week 2 meeting is primarily a review of first week activities and held accountable for first weeks activities. Broker is directed to educational resources they should be accessing and new lead generation and training activities assigned.
After the 2nd meeting the PC will check in with broker periodically and check accountability chart and suggest corrections to activities as needed.
There will be a scheduled appointment at 30 days, 60 days and 90 days.
Additionally, during the first 90 days, the broker will be responsible for attending team meetings, NWMLS contracts class at the office each Thursday and at least one PC Zoom call each week.
The broker is expected to respond to all emails, phone calls and texts from the PC coach to discuss progress and the coach will do the same (Except for phone calls. You are free to call if you can reach me but do not leave a message. Texts are the best way to reach coach for urgent issues.
