Hi! I’m Amie Sparrow, OL. I created this Pennsic A&S display to help beginners and intermediate costumers understand that period clothing does not have to be elaborate or expensive in order to be accurate. The only adjustment that I’ve made for the heat of the mid-Atlantic states is that none of the outfits are made of wool. All outfits are made in linen, which is lightweight and inexpensive.
All clothing and accessories presented are largely based upon the work of Penelope Waldon Rogers published in Cloth and Clothing in Early Anglo-Saxon England AD 450-700.
